The Boring Mundane Life Of Battlechili1 (Or Is It?)

All right. I guess this'll be a sort of blog for me?

Lately, these past few days, I've been on vacation from a boarding school for the gifted. It's Spring Break, as a few of you may already be aware. It's been nice, especially since school has been rather stressful after I started going to a school for the gifted, since my grades dropped tremendously upon arriving, mainly because its so much harder and actually requires studying. For those of you who don't know, I'm actually quite a serious person. My roommate at the school, however, is not. Consequently, he plays pranks on me sometimes, anywhere from him looking up innappropriate pictures on my computer (which is on a monitored network at school) and copying and pasting them onto my computer or setting it as a background to changing all my phone contacts names to things such as "phone sex" "porn" and "batman". It's particularly annoying because I don't actually know who was originally the name of what number. He also LOVES to make fun of the things I like, whether or not he likes them as well. It's as if my doing something is lame simply because I am the one doing it. Anyways, as many of you might know by now, I'm a huge anime fan. My room mate is too, but we differ in two things: What series we like and the subbed vs dubbed thing. He hates dubs. I like them. Consequently, he has a dvd of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and I'd like to watch it. He refuses to allow me to watch it unless I watch it subbed, to my dismay. I'm glad to be away from my school for now.

Also while at school, I managed to start playing Starfox Adventures due to a friend of mine having it. I love and adore the game, and I beat it after a couple months. At some point during this, I became obsessed with Starfox and also curious about the furry fandom. Anyways, to go back a bit, after a while, I got to play Assault and quickly eat that one in one week. My hunger for more Starfox had not been quenched. And as you can see, that brought me here. :)

Speaking of the furry fandom, I've been getting more and more curious about it over time. It started when I first got internet, which was oddly just a few years ago back in 2011. I noticed people talk about furries, and the general thoughts on them was negative, which I found odd, as the only problem I could see that anyone actually gave reason for was R34, which I don't really mind. What someone's into is their business, the way I see it. After a while, I noticed the brony fandom and joined it fairly quickly after partly discovering the series with which it was revolved around myself and enjoying the show. Many bronies were compared to furries, and so I was still reminded of furries. After the whole Starfox interest I mentioned earlier, tt has finally come to me having started a thread on another forum about the fandom and me trying to join a forum for furries (which has a very strict registration system, so I'm still not a part of that forum yet, though I only started to try and join today) as well as looking up pictures of furries and such. I've deemed furries to be very cool, and I have much interest in them, and have begun to consider myself a furry as well.

Anywho, now that I'm back home from school, I'm enjoying my vacation and catching up on anime recordings as well as enjoying the fact that I now have the show Casshern Sins on DVD. Sadly, after Spring Break is over, I'll have to go back to school and probably won't post in these forums for a while.

I might go to the movies today. I am not aware of what I will go and see, however my mother strongly wishes to go see that "Oz" movie. I don't really have much interest in it, but then again, I didn't have interest in Wreck-It Ralph when it came out, so perhaps I'm missing out on something.

So far, this past weekend, I managed to watch to very good movies. It seems that movies are as good as ever, and I'm constantly being bombarded with good movies this days. I saw The Life of Pi not too terribly long ago, and today I watched the movie Brave. I was surprised by it, it was impressive, and contained a lot of foreshadowing, something I don't normally notice in movies. The entire movie was well thought out by the looks of it, and I loved it. Still, I wish I"d see more Disney movies with 2D animation and less 3D CGI. I'm not a particular fan of CGI usually. The Life of Pi was very much an astounding movie, one that may make you think, and maybe even change your outlook on things, religion included. Regardless, I found it most interesting, and it was well thought out. That Pi fellow sure had one heck of a life.

In other news, it seems I cannot bring myself to spend my free time doing much more than watching TV or spending hours on this computer. Just yesterday I stayed up until 5 AM today, and I didn't get out of bed until around 2:30 PM. I must be mad. I really need to fix my sleeping habits.

I kind of want to watch the movie Wreck-It Ralph now. I wasn't interested in it when everyone was making noise about it, but my interest in it has increased quite a bit.

Today I went to the store and I got three things. Metal Gear Solid 3, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and the first three episodes of Dragonball Z on DVD. And no, I have never owned a working copy of a GTA game before. Which is rather surprising, actually. I hope to have lots of fun with that one. I'm also a big fan of the Metal Gear Solid series. I've beaten 2 and 4, so playing 3 will be fun. As far as DBZ goes....I can't remember much about the show, and I wanted to know if I'd still like the show. I think this will be a very interesting way to see if I still like Dragonball Z or if I had bad taste as a kid.

  • 2 months later...

Recently, I've become very worried.

You see, I have recently taken a history exam. My grade in history was about a 70, and the exam counts for 20 percent of my grade, and I don't think I did well on it.

I'm afraid I failed the class. I don't want to take the class again next year.

Worse yet, I go to a school for those skilled in math and science, and in order to return next year I must be invited back. I've made so many friends here and I love the environment. Should they not invite me back, I'll have to go back to my old school, where I had few friends and even had bullies. It was a bit tough, and boring.

My current school also offers so many more opportunities. I don't want to go back. I fear my failing history might cause me to not be invited back.

That said, its possible that I didn't fail.

Though I think I did.
