.MSI installers won't work

Clearwater

Question

Okay, I'm seeming to be having trouble opening up .MSI installers on my computer. I'm not too sure what's going
on with it, but every time I try to open up an .MSI installer (One example is that Star Fox Event Horizon), I
keep getting the error message, 'The Windows Installer could not be accessed. Please contact Microsoft for assistance'.
I'm always having this problem with any .MSI installers I try, so do you know what's going on? In case this info helps,
I am using Windows XP Service Pack 3.

Alright, I'll try both methods tomorrow afternoon on my computer and give you the heads-up when possible.

Hm. When I try that SFC Scannow command you gave me, I keep getting an error message saying it couldn't connect
to the Microsoft RFC server. I might be wrong, but this might have something to do with the fact that Microsoft
stopped support for Windows XP not too long ago. I also followed the instructions in the link you gave me. I'll
try installing something which uses a .MSI installer tonight and see if it did the trick.

Just a heads-up, all .MSI installers are now fully working. Thanks for the help, DZ.
