Digital Pokemon Games

hoo

Question

Alright, so I downloaded Pokemon Omega Ruby on two different sd cards. One contains my current save, and one has no save at all. If I were to save on the copy without a save, would it destroy my current save file?

Please help. :)

It shouldn't considering everything is saved on the SD card and not the system or game card. If you put your SD with your save in another 3DS you'll have the game and the save. And if you have the SD without the save in, you won't have your save, making it OK to save a new game.

I don't think you can just swap SD cards like that. I'm sure Nintendo links the game to that specific system. You probably could use a different SD card in the same system unless the game saves to the cartridge rather then the system.

That's what I was getting at.  I'm pretty sure that he has an extra SD card for that system, and he's just trying to install the game onto the other SD card so that he can get a different save or something.  I was just making a point where if you put the other SD card into another 3DS it'll show up to have that save on it, as opposed to having the other 3DS's save, because the game saves to the SD card and not the system.

Thanks for the help guys, I should have told you earlier that I tried it and my game freaked out and my old save corrupted.

Thanks for the help, though.
