But holy hell it's complicated, you're going to need a few reference sheets to figure out exactly what does what. Chiptune isn't easy, and remember that the 2A03 (NES's CPU) is extremely limited so you're going to have to get creative. There's no way to go 1:1 back to the NES. 0 Dr. Orange Posted December 19, 2014 Report Share Posted December 19, 2014 Famitracker is a unique program that tracks. It's hard and complicated and not the easiest way to create "chiptune." What DZ posted is called a VST, basically a virtual synthesizer. That specific VST is designed to generate sounds that resemble 8-bit sounds similar to what is used in chiptune music. Something such as Fruity Loops or Reaper.Also, that download will run as a demo until you buy it.If you want to get into the music hobby, make sure to do some research. There's a lot to learn. It's not in FL's proprietary format because VST is a pseudo-standard that works with most music programs. I posted a video that shows how to do this...I say pseudo-standard because there are some VSTs that will only work with Cubase, but this is not one of them. All of such VSTs are made by Steinberg, who makes Cubase and also created the VST format.Chipsounds, though, uses the Aria sampler. I know for a fact that pretty much any sequencer out there can load Aria as I used to use a bunch of Garritan products (I actually still use a couple) and Garritan partnered with Plogue (makers of Chipsounds) to create Aria. I also have the full version of Chipsounds myself.If I may be honest, if you can't grasp the concept of loading a plugin into FL, you probably need to find another hobby.
