I can't wait to see what a more complete build of the game will look like.  I've been tempted to pick up a Wii-U recently because of this and Smash Bros, but to be honest I'm not sure if I can justify the investment on those two alone.

Smash Bros. Wii U is worth it alone, don't let the haters/melee diehards tell you otherwise.

I'm hoping this game turns out decently too. I'll be waitin'

Hey there Melee purists, did you know that Melee still has an active competitive scene and that PM is closer to Melee 2.0?

Anyway, my return count is up to four with SF, SSB4, and Bayonetta1 & 2.

Do they have any pictures of what the new game or the characters will look like? I can't even imagine what they're going to be like or what will happen in the game, I'm so clueless.

We have to think of something to do to keep us occupied for the next 5 months. Until we see footage, we won't have a clear idea of what direction the story may be going in.

Alright, heres what we will do. Everybody on this forum should crawl into bed and drift into a hibernation like sleep. And when we all wake up in five months the next Starfox game should be out and ready to present.

As I always say, sleep is the most primitive form of time travel.

I had a feeling it will make an appearance at E3. Really looking forward to this. This is going to be a long wait.

Why is everyone acting like this is earth-shattering news? It was announced at last year's E3 with a release of 2015. That guaranteed it would be there. The word that it would be coming out before Zelda pretty much set it up to be playable.

It would have been more newsworthy if the game didn't appear at E3 this year.

We're a starved fandom.  We'll foam at the mouth anytime Miyamoto or Iwata mention the words star and fox in casual conversation. xD

Sad, but true. They're not a lot of info lately. It's going to be very quiet for a while until E3.

Um...I have ways of keeping myself occupied. I've done it many times before.

Heh. Same here. It's a thing called "Starfox Legends". :)

Well, for me, it's that thing that I'm always obsessed with: the Ultimate Story. It never stops even if I wanted it to.

You mean your fanfic? Well, it's a fun way to see time pass by, especially when you really, REALLY have to wait.

Miyamoto was recently in LA and was on a few YouTube shows. He talked about how Star Fox was pretty much all he was working on at the moment, it's kinda nice that it's getting that kind of attention from him.

Could this following video be one of those you mentioned?

I really hope there's more to this Star Fox than just flying. I mean, I know Star Fox is based around flying, but come on! They're mercs! They have to do more than fly around and shoot baddies down.

I heard you could transform the Arwing into a helicopter. You're still flying but at least you're hovering lol

I really hope they remove this transformation tho.... It could be the end for the Landmaster :'(

You've got it a little off. The "Arwingcopter," as people are calling it, has a robot that hangs from it that is independently controlled. The Arwing does not transform into the Arwingcopter, at least not as of the E3 2014 build. The level was started in it.

However, the Arwing did transform into a tank, so the Landmaster as we know it is no more. It is worth noting that Miyamoto has wanted the Arwing to transform into a ground vehicle since the SNES days. The original idea was a walking mech, as seen in Star Fox 2. When SF64 development started, the dev team resisted the walker and created the Landmaster instead. The new game combines the two approaches to ground combat.
