Sine Mora -- Anthropomorphic pilots à la StarFox? ok, I'm interested!

Ok, so I saw the debut teaser trailer of this game some time ago, which definitely caught my eye with its colorful graphics, lighting effects, art style, and above all, the fact that the game seemed to be focused on flying airplanes. Anyway, I was kinda interested in the game, however, I became a bit disappointed when I found out it was a side-scrolling shoot 'em up. I mean, I don't hate the genre, but It isn't one of my favorites either.

So, my expectations for the game were rather low and I was beginning to lose interest until recently, when the devs started showing the game characters.... I can't describe how pleasantly surprised I was when I saw this picture of what appears to be the protagonist (or at least one of the main characters in the game):

I immediately thought to myself: "another game with cool looking anthropomorphic animals as fighter pilots?.... what took them so long? I'm in!".

Seriously, though, I don't know how good or bad the game will be; the story and characters seem interesting enough for me, and the gameplay looks pretty good for its genre, but the real reason I might get this game (or at least try it), and the reason I wanted to share this topic with you guys and girls, is because I loved the character design and the fact that they decided to use anthropomorphic animals as the characters (which obviously reminded me of StarFox), and I thought you might appreciate that as well.... I just hope we get to see the characters in game cinematics or something, not just that concept art.

Very interesting. I'll keep an eye on it since I love side-scrolling shooters.

It may give me a reason to actually play my Xbox 360 if it's good!

I just wish the scriptwriter gave that poor narrator some less cheesy generic lines to say.

Edit: I've looked a little more into this. It looks mostly like a prettied verson of some of those fighter plane shooters I used to play in the pizza joints. Doesn't necessarily mean it won't be fun though, just not a complete clone of Star Fox.

I think this game will be exclusive to Xbox Live Arcade so, if you have a 360, you can download the free trial.... anyone else is out of luck, which BTW, I've read quite a few complaints about that decision already (and I totally understand it).

And what do you mean with "not a complete clone of Star Fox"?, the only thing similar between SF and this game is the overall concept (anthropomorphic animals shooting each other using fighters and other giant weapons), pretty much everything else is different.

The least they could have done was port it to PC; that would have been nice as I'm a fan of the genre and this actually looks good. :/

MYRYAN MAGUSA - Blood type: 0. Age: 33 circles. Young, beautiful pilot and repair-woman. She had cancer of the larynx as a young girl and is using a voice box. Her nation was assimilated by the Layil Empire long ago; with a counterfeit ID, she’s now a citizen of the Empire.

AKYTA DRYAD - Blood type: B. Age: 26 circles. Young female Enkie, leader of a resistance cell. Her occupation before the war was paleoseismologist. Now a fugitive on the run, she is hounded by several legendary Collaborationist headhunters, and also carefully monitored by Imperial Intelligence.

GARAI 74/22876 - Octane rating: 90. Age: 2 circles. AiBot ordered for the Imperial Guard’s Elite Squadron in the Tira administrative region. 22876 was manufactured on the moon Mawu and stolen, then reprogrammed by Ronotra Koss.

DURAK - Blood Type: AB. Age: 32 circles. Aristocratic female Enkie. Nobles have only one name, as nobles are considered unique on Seol. She still clings to the upper-class idea that the world belongs not to the Commoners, but to the Controllers. Always very elegant, with high-born style and manners.

LYNTHE YTOO - Blood type: A. Age: 26 circles. Collaborationist captain, serving in the 11th Squadron of the Imperial Air Force. After he was injured and left behind during an armed conflict with the Enkies, he joined the resistance, specifically Akyta Dryad’s group.
