Xidphel
Nintendo FINALLY gets with the program! Single game holding everything needed instead of selling extras? HAH!
Vy'drach
I actually dislike DLC and prefer the way that the Demon's/Dark Souls creators wanted to do it. "We won't release a game until we feel it is a perfect and complete game." Rather than Bethesda that intentionally releases an incomplete game because they have DLC already in development so they can milk you for money.
Icy
I actually dislike DLC and prefer the way that the Demon's/Dark Souls creators wanted to do it. "We won't release a game until we feel it is a perfect and complete game." Rather than Bethesda that intentionally releases an incomplete game because they have DLC already in development so they can milk you for money. Forget Bethesda, Activison and Call of Duty. I mean, NINE MONTHS OF DLC?! That's crazy. You just know they're doing that for moneymoneymoney and don't even hardly care about the quality of their DLC and have already started on it before the game releases. It's also sad that so many games (read: Battlefield 3) get released in an incomplete form with day-one patches and "more to come". The developers aren't to blame. The publishers… Think about it. Do you think Infinity Ward really wants to be rushed year after year? DICE doesn't want to be rushed but EA forces them to. The beta was half a month before BF3 released. That's crazy. They may have had time to work things out and all but they didn't have enough time. This October BF3 will be a much better game, but I would have gladly waited another year to get a complete, bug-free game. Nintendo games have to be perfect on release. No DLC. (This is why first-party series only get one title per console, probably.) Game-breaking glitches like the ones in Skyward Sword and Metroid: Other M, however, would benefit from DLC. (Updates) (And I'm glad they will be able to do that now) Back before DLC was "big" we got game patches every six months or so. Just to fix minor issues. Console games? The thought never entered anyone's minds. Now games are released months ahead of when they need to release, and updates come every week. It's really sad………………………… but I think this is off the topic of DLC. Eh. Anyway, DLC sounds great for Nintendo games. I mean, Mario Karts are so few and far between. It would be so nice to get extra DLC cups. As well as new Star Fox missions, Zelda…er… Mario levels, etc.…
CrypticQuery
I can't stand DLC. Instead of developers using it to improve their games they cut features from the games to sell them later as DLC and, in the case of Bethesda, knowingly put out broken games effectively making the first purchasers beta-testers. Xidphel
Wait. Just realized something: DLC is old news. Online Pass is where it's at these days.

Icy
ITT everyone confusing DLC for software patches I probably came across that way. I know the difference and was mainly referring to "downloadable content" as just that. Be it additional content or patches/updates. Although most games are released nowadays needing updates AND get DLC right off the bat for months. It's nice that Nintendo will be getting both. Their games deserve patches AND DLC. (Like I said, extra MK cups = win, and game glitches such as the ones in Other M and SS will be fixable now too)
