TCPeppyTc
Is anyone following the books/ tv series game of thrones? Does anyone have a favorite candidate for king/ queen of Westeros? I myself am backing Stannis Baratheon!

Hidi
There's good things in the books and the show The books - Easier to follow (The show kinda expects you to have read the books), very dense writing, characters seem a little more lovable, more implicit on the sex stuff. The show - Great costuming, great actors, set and art design are well done, music My favourite characters would be Arya Stark and Tyrion Lanister. Faisul
I tried reading the books back in the early 2000s but I only managed to get halfway through the third, and by the time the show was out I just couldn't remember a damn thing from them except the major plot twists and events. And that virtually everyone described as were children. Even the ones that get raped. GRRM is a creepy fucker. The show is pretty damn good. The first season starts out kinda History-channel-y in overall visual quality, scene direction, music etc. but the jump in quality between season 1 and 2 is pretty major - and then again between 2 and 3. The writing starts off pretty good in the first season, stays that way through the second, but really kicks off in a big way in the third season. Everything is gearing up to come to a head in season 3 and you can virtually feel that everyone involved is getting ready for some serious shit. In short it's the best goddamn medieval/fantasy going on and you're missing out if you're not watching it.
Rin
Never read the books, but I did try to watch one episode one night, and my sister immediately balked and told me to change the channel. That said, never really watched the show. I mostly follow what's going on through Tumblr actually. I quite like Daenerys, and Arya as well.
