Bananapuss
I know it's random, but a friend and I were talking about this the other day and we were just wondering. It's not like they can eat each other...... or do they? I'm new here so I don't know if this has ever been discussed before.
LoneWolf
Fish? Not too many fish characters. Anglars nonwithstanding.
Drasiana
I like Fred's headcanon that they eat these varying kinds of giant bugs that can be raised as livestock and such.
jeth
Food. Anywho, it probably has to do with what species the character is. I doubt Fox eats the same thing Sippy does. What exactly each species eats... Well, I'm not sure how much I want to go into that; I already have the disturbing mental image of Fox eating Falco... The Shaper
Ignore the exposition, but there is one panel where you see Fox with... whatever all this is (ignore the exposition): Just as well, in StarFox Adventures people say that they see pizza boxes all stacked up in part of the ship. I don't know if it's true, and I don't have an image, but I'm willing to bet they have a system similar to ours, except on a galactic scale, and depending on which animals are sentient or not. Or, they farm and eat people as vengeance for the days on Earth. (We may taste bad now, but just wait until all the juicy chemicals are mixed in. Don't knock it! We did it with chickens, didn't we?) I like Fred's headcanon that they eat these varying kinds of giant bugs that can be raised as livestock and such. I wouldn't be shocked on some level. In Assault, Slippy has shown that he is seemingly partial to insects, as evident from his description of the Aparoid buildings.
Snys93
Protein nibs? Its got to be something. Maybe they eat lower non-sentient life, totally alien to our food like chickens and cows.
Prince Elite
I'm sure they'll have some Star Fox equivalent of beef somewhere, but who knows. I don't think it's ever discussed apart from some bowl of what appears to be a casserole in the aforementioned Fox is depressed ending.
unoservix
the carcasses of their enemies Pigma was delicious (it's okay he got better)
Arashikage
Probably lower life forms, like the ones that can't speak and stuff like that, like we do. However I doubt some of them would do that, like Peppy. Rabbits are herbivores, so he'll have a tossed salad.
Dr. Orange
I guess they heat humans. I don't see much of them. Like how we eat Pigma in 'Merica, Gen. Pepper in China, and Slippy in France. Maybe humans are grown like cattle and deep fried and smothered in chocolate. Mmm... Bueno.
Harlow
Well, we don't see bovids and chickens per se as characters. I doubt there's pig on the menu though. Gen. Pepper in China,
Dr. Orange
It was Chinese after all. I also bet they would eat Watermelon. For it is the best out of all the fruits.
Hidi
My, I was going to do the courtesy of warning this fine lady of the potential for all of us to go joking off here. I guess I'm a little late to the party on that. But I think there's a good mix of serious and joke answers anyway! As for the plate of food in Command, I always thought that was sushi, and probably your typical cheap, Japanese snack (What I thought was sushi was the bits near the top that look like chicken nuggets, but there is a sushi called 'age' that looks like that). Snys93
Judging by starfox adventures great fox cutscenes, pizza and burgers and soda pop. Yeah, but stuff like that comes cheap like in our universe and what are they made out of (with exception of the soda)?
Ori
In addition to the former half of Zero's post, Kage, and the first of Snes', they probably feed on non-sentient life, save for the herbivores who obviously don't. Note that early in SF: Adventures when you first pick up the egg heal item which I've forgot the name it says that 'these are not dinosaur eggs, but instead, [bird w/e things] bred specially to producing food', somewhat lampshading that the creature itself might also be exploited as a food source. Noteworthy by the time Corneria/Lylatian race(s) has(have) formed itself(themselves) as society(ies), a set of norms might have been put in place to avoid mysteriously decreasing populations of tastierweaker species. ...Or Nintendo just ran out of excuses and gave them replicators, so they have absolutely no idea what they are eating. :V And then you have the possibility that one's view could take to the [il]logical extreme of the fact that they're animals, and most, predators. As SF is not supposed to be your average Primal Carnage or [Random Zombie Title], It Makes Sense In Context for the characters not feed on each other, even if animals. Also a case of Less Disturbing In Context, exemplified at Dust: An Elysian Tail since chickens are a food item ingame while being how we know them, non-sentient. (Off-Topic: Still, I don't really see why this one subject would be awkward around SF [or Furries in general]. :V) (...Wait a minute-- Oh, what the hell...) *cough* "VORE" *cough*
Redeemer
It's not like they can eat each other...... or do they? Depends which fanfic you're reading. In more serious terms... I would say just normal food, or in their case, fast food. Considering they're anthros, eating a burger made of beef would probably be... not ideal. xD Maybe they have a synthetic meat, or have their own cattle we haven't seen yet.

In regards to this, there have been successful experiments done regarding lab-grown "burgers". They still involve the animal, mind you, but to a miniscule extent by the looks of it. http://www.nytimes.com/2013/05/14/science/engineering-the-325000-in-vitro-burger.html?_r=

As I said, there aren't any official bovid characters, so maybe they are your normal cattle? Also applies to chickens (Falco doesn't count, I mean hen and rooster) Anglars kinda count as amphibians (at least I count them as so regardless how some look like) so fish is also on the menu. psy_commando
In Starfox Assault, on the mission in "Corneria City", if you got no life like me and spent an hour trying to read all the signs on the map, you'll find out that there is one sign that advertises lobsters or crabs from sauria or titania or I can't remember. I don't have a pic, I can't find the texture rip I did.. I like Fred's headcanon that they eat these varying kinds of giant bugs that can be raised as livestock and such. That sounds a little like Futurama. Ignore the exposition, but there is one panel where you see Fox with... whatever all this is (ignore the exposition): Just as well, in StarFox Adventures people say that they see pizza boxes all stacked up in part of the ship. Or, they farm and eat people as vengeance for the days on Earth. Let me fix that for you: "Or, they farm and eat people as vengeance for the days on Earth." --> "Or, they farm and eat people as vengeance for all the starfox yiff on Earth." the carcasses of their enemies Pigma was delicious (it's okay he got better) Well, technically, you also ate an Aparoid, depending on the space time coordinates.. I wonder if Aparoids are spicy ? Its 3am and I write strange things...
