Considering how little news we get in the form of a new Star Fox game, I find it awesome that this developer is still interested. He said something similar a couple of years ago, but he's repeating it again, almost like he's emphasizing his interest.

Miyamoto already expressed interest in putting a new game in the series on the Wii U. I think he's just looking for a third-part developer to make it.

Intelligent Systems made FE: Awakening, and Project Sora made Kid Icarus Uprising. I think it's a valid guess that Platinum Games will be a valid candidate to develop the new Star Fox.

I'm wondering if they're all just saying that out of nostalgia rather than firmly wanting to do those games..

Also, this article was written back in 2010.

Old news. :-P

There's newer news about this, too. He took it further and said that he'd love to still make a Star Fox game and maybe other games too.

I'd love a Platinum Games Star Fox game. I mean, it'd be a new Star Fox game! Who cares who makes it, right?

Platinum seems to be getting a lot of love from Nintendo, and they seem to love Nintendo a lot now too, so hey, I wouldn't mind an SF game made by them at all.

I'm really sorry, but i swear to god that title told me Hideo Kojima was making a new Star Fox game. Can we all just take a second and imagine a Starfox game as made by the creator of Metal Gear Solid?

I second this.  I kept re-reading thinking "No, surely not..."

"Every single part of this fighter has been customized to create the feel of a real SG15223 Arwing fighter, the predecessor to this very model.  The G Diffuser was modified to provide extra gravatational pull, creating no confusion as to the direction you're headed in, the weapons were replaced with XG13136 blasters, the B Bombs were given extra kick and seismic energy, the seat is real leather with extra lumbar support, and the cupholder can fit an extra Grande size drink from Chipotle Taco Hutt"

Yes, I just updated it to the new one. I was looking for it, but put the 2010 one instead. My mistake. But my point still stands.

As cool as that sounds...I was actually hoping Kojima could make a Star Wolf game.

Obviously, I'm dreaming pretty big.

A starwolf game ?

Seeing Kojima make Starfox could be actually pretty funny. But Starfox is waaayy too shallow for his kind of games. And I doubt Nintendo is giving enough slack to developers, ironically.

Though seeing him do a parody video of SF in MGS style would be awesome ! :D

And I really admire the tenacity of Hideki Kamiya ! Seriously if he sticks to that idea, Nintendo might realize that having people that actually want to make a good Starfox game is a good thing.
