Redeemer
So what are you doing this October? 'Tis the season for sweets and scares you know. Are you dressing up this year? If so, what as? Are you trick or treating this year? And no you're never too old for that. Student perspective: free food. Germany doesn't do Hallowe'en. There are NO costumes on sale, nothing. My heart, guys, my heart. All isn't lost though, I can just paint my face, add six more eyes and crawl on all fours all day as a spider or something. Suggestions welcome. Also I think I'll play through some... (listen to all of it, it's worth it please believe me) '> We're also going to watch The Adams Family and other horror films, not sure what ones yet.
ballisticwaffles
For horror films i would recommend the classics. Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Event Horizon, Childs Play, Hellraiser, It, The Shining, Alien, and maybe if you cant find it Behind the Mask: the Rise of Leslie Vernon. As for my plans, im going to probably go and enjoy a nice drink somewhere and walk about looking at the costumes.
DoctorAllosaurus
I'm either missing something or you spelled spooky wrong Deems. On topic I'll be doing my first zombie walk thing next Saturday so I'm pretty pumped for that.
jeth
I'm not going to be doing much. I may go trick or treating with my siblings, but outside of that I don't really have any plans. Guess that means I'm open to suggestions.
Sarita
This is the first time I've ever lived in a neighborhood for Halloween so I have no idea what the hell to expect. I mean will there be kids dinging our doorbell? Should I have candy? Is Steve going to spoil this for me because he hates fun? I DONT KNOW.
Redeemer
Waffles, that sounds like fun. Have a drink for me. Although I'll probably have wine in the house anyway. Al spoopy is a thing. Jeth you should totally go trick or treating! Sissi have some treats ready. Ask Steve if they do Hallowe'en, if yes, have sweets ready. Btw guys when you trick or treated when you were younger, did anyone have a backup plan for when the person at the door said "trick"? I never did, what is it a joke or something? I always just got sweets without the "trick" part. :S
Harmony Descent
I would go, but I've dressed up as the same thing for three or four years straight: Evil/demonic jester or skeletal demon. Don't really have anyone to do it with because they have either moved away, found a job and are too busy, or just don't feel like doing it. I would do it solo, but I honestly don't feel like doing it by myself. So, I'm just going to skip this All Hallow's Eve.
Dr. Orange
If ya need de halloweens in de Deutschland, from what I ear from some friends is in places like Münster and maybe Hamburg are getting "into" it. This year for a costume I'm trying to pull of the Sniper look if I can finish by then. If not I'll be Doctor #11 again... I'm also working on a Prof. Conundrum and Genki for future years. I'm still debating on trick or treating or just waiting for November 1st for my chocolate fill. But if you need a trick, when I was younger we had squirt guns filled with vinegar. Arashikage
I'm gonna either be Storm Shadow, or a generic soldier. It depends on how cold it is. If the weather is especially cold, definitely a soldier. I'll get my AK, my head wrap, and my gear all set up, and it'll be like last year. I usually hit up three or four neighborhoods, and they usually don't remember me, so I should be fine in dressing up in the same costume lol. Sarita
Sissi have some treats ready. Ask Steve if they do Hallowe'en, if yes, have sweets ready. I asked him a couple weeks ago, yeah we do it, but he doesn't celebrate anything but like Christmas and New Years. Dx I'm like "there are like a million awesome holidays in the rest of the year that you are missing out on. This in the country that celebrates Dia de Los Muertos. I am here for Dia de Los Muertos and my boyfriend's family does not celebrate it do you see how hard this makes my life?
mjakob42
Being the film buff, might as well give my recommendations for horror flicks: The Shining (1980)(the GOOD one) The Thing (1982) Nosferatu, a Symphony of Horror (1922)(don't let it's age detract you - it's still one of the creepiest movies ever made) Jacob's Ladder (1990)(Silent Hill fans will get a really good idea as to where some of the franchise's inspiration came from) Videodrome (1983)(any 80s Cronenberg for that matter, but this, in my opinion, is his masterpiece) The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) As for a Halloween costume... I'm torn between Al Jourgensen:
Hidi
Redeemer, can I be spoopy this Halloween? I'd like the be the spoopiest person on the block!

I'm torn between Al Jourgensen: '> ...and Keith Apicary: '> I've seen all of those movies BUT Nosferatu, I should really look into it. I'm quite the horror fan and I've seen most movies already. I think I'll watch The Shining all over again just because. Hidi, I believe you can be the spoopiest if you want to be. Believe in yourself! Be happy of yourself! And omg Sissi I want to see Dia de Los Muertos too. ;_;

Redeemer
Today is zombie walk day, I'll probably have a few pictures to post when I get back later. I'M WAITING. Also R3d and I watched 9 last night. Not exactly scary but it's pretty gloomy. An alright movie, I guess, perhaps a little artsy. Also I've started up Silent Hill but I'm having technical difficulties. Tailsz gave me some advice so I'll get on to that sometime soon. I am still mad that I cannot dress up here. Drasiana
So Halloween has come and gone, how was it for everyone? I spent the evening at home with my brother and his girlfriend watching spooky movies, scaring children, and eating a ton of Halloween food I'd prepared. Observe: Candy corn drink! Graveyard Treat... Some spookily-shaped taco tarts and cupcakes: My child-scaring outfit: It was great, I'd jump at the window wearing that and after a couple seconds of handing out candy my brother would rip out this horrible blood-curdling scream from somewhere within the house. 2x Child Scaring Combo! Of course, the wolf costume was heavily foreshadowed by my jack-o-lantern: And then some fun with my Halloween miniature village! oooooo
Redeemer
I think Dras wins the Best Hallowe'en This Year award. I had a relaxing night, I watched Beetlejuice with R3dFiVe after a long walk in the forest. No trick or treaters came to the door, which was a shame because I was ready to give out chocolate.
