White Text Box Hurting Your Eyes?

Recommended Posts

 Hidi has noticed a small fix.

Simply turn BBCode mode on (It can be found in the top left corner of the text editor).

When BBCode mode is on, the silver box with a B in it will have a red frame around it and your text box will turn dark grey.

If you make a post with this turned on, it should stay that way until you make a post with it off.

What this means though is that you will have to add in the BB tags for any text effects you want, such as bold text or italics. Bold and italic are easy to memorize, as they are;

 <bold text here>

 <italic text here>

 <strike-out text here.
More useful tags;

 - Embeds an image.
 <Link, i.e YouTube link> [medic[ - Embeds a video.
[]
You can also turn BBCode mode off, make the formatting selection you want, then switch back. That usually doesn't let you keep BBCode always on though so your text box still may remain white.

But if you don't mind writing your posts in BBCode mode all the time, let your eyes relax to the grey text box.

It's interesting, it's white in the standard IPB theme, as it should be, but not in the SF-O custom theme.

But when it was black in the SF-O custom theme, it was also black in the IPB theme.

Just an observation.

I remember when my eyes weren't burning. And I want those days back. And I don't want to do extra work on something that was one a convenience.

Besides, hasn't anyone told ya that flipping a light switch on and off repeatedly causes circuit problems?

Hey, I didn't mean for you to have to fix it! I was just offering a solution I found to working around it. BBCode isn't that much of an inconvenience.

I have spent almost two hours looking for what I need to change. It doesn't seem to be possible to change the text box color at all. I really hope they fix that in 4.x.
