Guest Panther Caruso
Most of you probably dont agree w/ me on this but... Starfox assault is rated "T" for teens (obviosly) only for fantasy violence. I always imagined a T game to have mild suggestive themes(fox and Krystal dont even hug!!), some language(like when fox says darn....not to be to preticular but....I think it would sound a bit better as "damn".) Inuyasha
I don't agree with EVERYTHING you said.... For example, the T rating doesn't need to be because of suggestive themes. It can be for other things. And I've never seen swearing in a T game, no. That'd make it M. Almost instantly. That's just the way they are. Unless I'm wrong.... I do agree, however, that Assault WASN'T T material. Yes, lots of shooting, but they're not even live things; they're robots. Unless they thought the death animations were too violent, nothing REALLY made it something an 8-year old couldn't (or shouldn't) play. Unless they thought that Krystal's...animations were a bit too much, but it doesn't say "Suggestive Themes". -Inuyasha
shippothekit
Oh yah there's swearing in T rated games! Soul Calibur 2 has swearing in it and is worse for violence then star fox but if there were to be swaering in Star Fox then the rating would probably go up to M but they didn't want it to be an M game because do you think 18+ (adults) would want to play Star Fox? Well not to many would. They never did anything past the violence because 3/4 of their customers were between the ages 12-16.I think they should make it more less kidish though because really if you were Fox's age I don't think that you would reduce yourself and saying dang! I mean fit damn in there it's not even considered a swear word really.I mean so many things that are rated 18+ shouldn't I guess they do that because a lot of kids are swearing these days non stop.Stuff rated 18+ should be like drugs and sex and ripping heads of not just for a lil cartoon blood and minor swearing. Inuyasha
What cartoon blood? I've never seen blood in SF. Ever. See? It really should've been E. Or, they could've put in some ACTUAL T content.... -Inuyasha
Guest Krystal's_Lover
The ESRB has its reasons for rating Starfox T. One of which is that you are actually killing things. Yes, not humans, and it isn't graphic, but the point is that things are dying because of your actions. Namely shooting them. And suggestive themes...do you not find skin-tight suits ('specially on a female character) at least SOMEWHAT subjective? I can see where the ESRB is coming from with their rating. T-Bone
the ratings are kind of weird. they should have put more in it because of the " T ".

Guest cheerios4u98
Heck, it should be rated M. Bring on the blood and gore!!!!! oh, wait. actually I don't want that. why the heck am I posting here again?
Inuyasha
So what if you're killing stuff? at that rate, Mario should be rated T 'cause you stomp on enemies and they sorta...explode. And there's nothing 'bout suggestive themes. Neither does Adventures. I'd like more to be in a T game. I'm still at a loss as to WHY SSBM was T. SSB was E. I think the movie industry's not picky enough and the game industry's too picky. -Inuyasha

salmon45
I dont see why it was rated teen really. Alot of the content is just like starfox 64 and that was rated E. I suppose the on foot parts are kindof violent but they're not graphic or anything. I would not want to see major violence and gore in the starfox series. Its cool to blow someone apart in games like unreal tournament, but in starfox that would be a turnoff.
HavikFox
Can I ask something? The ESRB rating for Starfox Adventures says their is animated blood...Where? Do they mean the red flashing once your hit.
Inuyasha
Yes. Though most people hardly ever actually care, much less notice. -Inuyasha
Guest Kit Airheart
Ah, the animated blood. My guess was the blue liquid that gushed from the first boss, in the DarkIce Mines. I'm pretty sure that's the closest thing to blood in the game...I mean, that's got to be why they said "animated" instead of just plain "blood", right? Ksathra_Blackfox
Well this is my first post on here but I have been watching the forums for awhile and I will agree this game is a little "Tame" when it comes to getting the T rating but as owner of the Japanese version that one would get the T raiting considering it does use the "Damn" word even though the game is entirely in Japanese. Orbital Fox
There are some things I think should be there to make it T, but I actually wish that they'd made SFAssault M so that my little brother couldn't play it and I'd have it to myself... other than that I think it fits right in between K-A and T. Not M for Krystal and Fox sorta stuff... but for violence...
