Dark Falco: Boss?

Is Dark Falco supposed to be a boss in the canceled Wii Starfox game? If so, is he supossed to do a similar roll as Blood Falcon? Does anybody remember him from SSBB? How come was he there and not in an earlier game like SFXC?

By 'Dark Falco', would it be safe to assume that you're referring to the black-feathered Falco from Smash Bros?

Yes, exaclty. Only characters that have Dark versions (Link, Pit, Samus, Peach and Bowser) have this option of color: although Peach and Bowser didn't have it specifically in the series, they do have a Dark copy in SSBB, which is not Falco's case, which is why I believe there was Dark Falco as a boss in the canceled Starfox Wii game.

wtf

OneUnder literally just posted a picture of Falco's dark colouration in SSBB. I don't know how you thoroughly read and liked his post and then went on to go "well Falco doesn't have a dark colouration in SSBB so..." In any case, this just makes absolutely no sense. Sakurai isn't pulling colourations from cancelled Wii games he had no involvement in. The character palettes are supposed to have a wide breadth of colour (when they can) to give players more options. That's it.

Anyway, the way Miyamoto talked about it Star Fox Wii didn't get far enough into development for things like "Dark Falco" to start floating around. The problems arose when they had to deal with the technical limitations of the Wii, which would've stood out long before they started cranking out ill-conceived 2edgy4u boss ideas.

Seriously, why are we taking Smash Bros costumes as secret hints about actual games? Do you have similar theories for Grandpa Ganondorf, White Wolf and Dark DK?

Besides, we already have a "Dark Falco", so to speak. His name is Leon Powalski.

No offence, but you didnt understand. I said that Falco isn't a Dark character in the Subspace Emissary, so that is why I believe he was a boss. Understood what I meant now, Drasi?

Not bringing up Captain Fabulous, what's wrong with you?

@geoprimedonna

That makes literally even less sense.

e: also you're full of it. OneUnder literally asked you if you meant the costume changes, to which you said "Yes, exactly". Don't "no offense" me for your complete inability to effectively get your point across.

@Vydrach

wtf I meant to include him but somehow forgot??? D:

@Arwingfan

When SFU was announced, Miyamoto said they'd started development on a Star Fox Wii game a while ago but it never really went anywhere because the Wii was too technically limited for what they wanted to do. It wasn't really "cancelled" so much as they didn't really get past the proof of concept stage to begin with--a lot of the mechanics and ideas have been carried over into SFU.

Cancelled Wii game?  The only canned Starfox game iirc are Starfox 2 and the Virtual Boy one.

The canceled Wii game was never announced. The only reason we know it existed is that Miyamoto said the demo build at E3 of SFU used assets from it.

Exacto! That is when I believe there were these hidden bosses. It's a puzzle piece, I guess...
