Katheeri

Sebastian quickly stood up at the sight of his two new visitors: Zefran and the Katheeri woman. He readied himself for trouble, placing his hand on his pistol grip. He outstretched his free arm, motioning the duo to stay where they were.

"Hold it right there, CDF! You two just stay right there!" he said.

~

"That's it," said Pawel to himself. "That is it; I have had it with this woman." He then pulled out a device similar to the one Sebastian used to unlock the adjacent condo's door. It opened Amanda's door, and he waltzed inside. "Cornerian Defense Force, everyone stop what you're doing!" he said as he unholstered his blaster and pointed it at Amanda. However, the simian caught his eye, and his blaster pointed at that individual. "Fucking ape-things. It's always the goddamn fucking ape-things."

Amanda's heart dropped into her stomach as soon as that dragon who was chasing her yesterday entered. She immediately froze when he pointed the gun at her and said something, Cornerian Defence Force something-or-other, which she could barely hear over the sound of her heart pounding in her ears. When he brought his attention to the intruder who earlier waltzed in on his own accord, Amanda suddenly got a hare-brained idea. She slowly started backing up towards the balcony...

"IT'S MONKEY, not an ape. Besides, I have a tail, DUMBASS. Sheesh, what did they brainwash you with?" Simeon answered as he used his power to disconnect and attempt to slam the door down on Pawel with a surmountable enough psychokinetic force before he quickly back up to where Amanda was. He then grabbed her by the hand and flew out of the condo's balcony via his powers, supporting the both of them with levitation as they exited safely. "You okay?"

"AAH!" Amanda shrieked, seeing the ground which seemed miles below them as she was whisked away by the guy who broke into her condo. "W-W-WHAT IS THIS?! WHAT'S GOING ON?!"

//TL;DR Snuck in, disabled robot, and found alternate objective//

It took some doing, but Shepherd had maneuvered the young wolf's questioning to be redirected towards his parents and slowed her own pace, groups passing her provided a modicum amount of obfuscation. Not a moment to soon either, as she had finally arrived at her destination to witness Alek charade in action, the german shepherd's facade he was displaying had forced the vixen to stifle a giggle behind her hand.

With a reminder to herself of wasted time, she turned and made her way towards the employee access door nearby. When she reached the door, Shepherd grabbed the knob and twisted, pushing her way in.

"I made it in, your ruse was appreciated." Shepherd whispered into her com unit, as she navigated her way through the alls "Standby for operation update."

---

A few minutes of sneaking around got her to where she needed to be, a door with the words “Do not disturb, security droid on duty”. What a strange mix of an inefficient but good idea in theory and low maintenance for a constant all hour watch.

Retrieving a metal spike from her boot, an electronic slicer, Shepherd then pushed the door open as quietly as she could and crept inside. She made her way to the droid standing at the console, examining where the machine’s motherboard was. Taking a silent deep breath, the vixen readied herself to disable the droid as fast as possible. After a moment, she leapt at the machine and jabbed the slicer into the back of it’s head. The droid in turn reached behind itself and grabbed at it’s assailant, catching her by the hood of her jacket and pulling outward. Her jacket pulled against her throat painfully as she activated the slicer, which sent a system wiping charge into the machine.

The result was instant, it’s attempts to choke the girl with her clothing were stopped in an instant. It was still holding onto her jacket, so she had to unzip the thing and slide out of it.

Ignoring the now powered down security droid for the time being, Shepherd rubbed her throat as she turned her attention to the computer tower. Taking out her comm-device and a connection cord to go along with it, she began the process of infecting the space port’s security.

As she was about to attach one end in to the tower, she spied an odd happening on the camera keeping an eye on the port’s front entrance.

Her dabbling in the field of bounty hunting allowed her to put a name to the face of the man she was looking for: Antoine Chevalier, the specifics of his history escaped her memory, as they usually did for bounties, but what she did recall is that the man knew his way around a gun, and was loose in morals.

Two things Alek and Shepherd needed right about now.

“There’s going to be a shift in plans, Doctor.” She muttered into her comm-unit as she scanned the other screens, looking for anything that she could use to her advantage.

Hanger thirty-seven, the group moving boxes looked too stiff, too many glances at the connecting hallway tell tale signs of a small scale smuggling operation.

“If we’re lucky, we may just find ourselves with someone indebted to us.” Shepherd explained as she turned to face the droid that was about to find itself in her employ. “If you can, keep an eye on two uniforms escorting an obvious thug.”

"Oh shit, not again!" Zefran raised his hands submissively, body rigid with fear.

They had just escaped! What were they going to do now? His eyes darted around the room, looking for anything he could use to get away.

"Just keep calm." Aura regarded the automaton curiously as she followed suit, "Let us go, and you'll never see or hear from us again. It'll be as if we never existed."

----

"He shouted something before he took off, but I couldn't tell you what. He moved so fast, I didn't think to remember. Whoever he was talking to was in trouble, though. Someone very close, the way he was acting." Sitka nodded, "That's all I know."

"Damn..." Copper cursed under his breath.  Without confirmation of a name, it'd be difficult to get General Pepper to approve  the idea he had in mind, as they couldn't confirm if Antoine was the name. "I don't suppose the name Antoine would jog your memory then?"

So that is who he was thinking. Tiger thought to himself.  It's not very much, though there has to be a connection.  But Zef wouldn't say anything, and if he was trying to protect someone, that just made it harder.  Plus, if Antoine was the one to teach him how to keep information a secret, well, that would make sense.  But... no, there's not enough concrete information to go ahead for certain or make assumptions in a may or may not be connection.  If only there was a way to track Zefran... "You Katheeri don't have any biological quirks or anything that makes tracking you easier, do you?" Tiger then asked, "Copper's line of thinking is on a crazy hunch, but the sooner we find Zef and your friend, the sooner we can help get you out of here and to safety.  So anything you can provide will be helpful."

" Things just went south. Engaging." he said under his breath, primarily into his Comms with the Star Tiger Team.

Renard tried to keep his footsteps light as he walked lightly across the street. the plan was simple. take out the Golem first.  He had a weapon trained on the katheeri and was therefore a liability if they tried to escape. after getting them calmed down and safely hidden away, he'd then try to help the social media starlet as best as he can.

With any luck, the CDF-Bot wouldn't even noticing the Mage delivering a chop to the back of his neck with an electrically charged hand until it was far too late. Low enough voltage to logically force a machine of his caliber into a slow reboot, but definitely not enough to kill him.

Jess held the small Flame to the cigar in her mouth,  taking long slow pulls as the rich smoke flooded her lungs "Ohhhh that hits the spot. " she exhaled setting the lighter onto the tool box. She took another long draw as she eyed the other female over. "You a pilot too or just the grease jocky?"

"Ren, don't-" It was too late, the comm cut off, and now things were going VERY south. "Tiger is going to give us a royal chewing out if this goes beyond recovery!  How much longer before we get there?"

"ETA is seven minutes." Jeena said, "And no amount of speeding will fix it, you heard Kola." She then grumbled to herself about guys like Ren, how reckless they could be, but there being a charm to that kind of behavior for a person who wants to protect others.

"I know, but that might as well be an hour at this rate!" Hawk retorted. "We seem to be the ones who always get the jip jobs and partners..."

--------------------

"Both." Zera said in reply to Jess. "I was more of an engineer, technician, mechanic back in the Lylat Wars, but I could pilot a machine pretty well.  Actually, as I'm sure you know, the more shoes a soldier could wear, the more valuable they could be.  I'm a highly valued asset to the team, what with analysis of enemy shields, technology, weaponry.  The thought of taking apart a new piece of technology to see how it works just gets me excited.  Of course, making new tech or improving on tech is just as exciting.  Like the reflector units I'm sure you've seen several of my team mates wearing on their left thighs?  Those are based on the same ones Star Fox uses, but I've made a few adjustments to make them more efficient, and allow for greater movement when using them.  Trouble is, I found that the modifications don't prevent someone reaching in and grabbing the user...  And it's no good against a vehicle type laser or plasma cannon.  But against the type 2 blasters most troops are outfitted with, the unit is very effective.  Just wish I could find a way to make it jolt the crap out of someone who tries to grab someone using it..." She then realized she had gone and blabbed about herself and her handy work a bit too much.  She blushed and rubbed her right hand behind her head in embarrassment. "Sorry, I forgot that not everyone is interested in technical stuff like I am.  I probably bored you with all of that."

She's took another long slow pull before shaking her head "Not at all." She motioned to her own small ship in the bay. "I do the same thing" she motioned for her to follow as she began walking to the ship.  "Used to be a stock,  regulation drop ship,  ripped out the original gen 1 nose cannon and stuffed a recovered class three rotary in there we recovered from the first war. Series four shield overhaul with a tighter pattern to save on some juice if it's only a glance, and the best part" she pointed at the thrusters with her cigar "Customs built thrusters stripped from a smugglers freighter. So I tinker a bit myself. "

"I'm with the government," said Sebastian. "We can keep you safe. Why run? It'll only make things worse. Now, please. Come with me." He turned his authoritative stop gesture into an offer to follow him. If he could smile, he would do it now.

Meanwhile, Pawel got up, pushing the door off of him. He rushed outside, stopped by the balcony railing as the simian thing and Amanda floated away. "Fucking Venomian psionics," he muttered. He contemplated shooting the Venomian down, but instantly voted against that when he remembered he was holding a Cornerian woman. Instead, he looked to the side to the adjacent balcony, where the Katheeri and friend went to, and where Sebastian was. He stepped onto the balcony and leaped easily to the next one. He stomped down onto the concrete, and waltzed inside the room behind the two. "I come in peace!" he said.

Tsh, damn CDF's weapon would had been useless against him. He could crush it with his own powers anyways and for another reason, why is he automatically labelled as Venomian? Last he checked, he's a Macbethian.

"I'll talk about it later. After all, we should be more worried about your friends, am I right?" Simeon was planning to catch up with the Katheeri with Amanda and immediately, landed on the same balcony with the woman after Pawel made his way in. "Keep close to me because things are about to get hellish for us as soon as we step in so you'll be needing that gun front and center."

He sounded calm and reasonable towards the other at best. A first break from his usual smart aleck behavior after all.

"Heh, I guess we have some things in common." Zera said with a slight smile, having followed Jess over to the drop ship.  She had to admit, after looking over the ship, Jess was pretty good at modifications, especially for someone who didn't seem like the type to tinker with things.  Then again, Zera didn't look quite like that herself, so it wasn't too huge of a surprise.  The ship didn't look the prettiest, but it certainly looked like it could take a beating at least. "So, how did you come to own this ship if I may ask?"
