hoo
Do you play an instrument? If so, which one? I play guitar, bass, and an okay drum.
Shmibli7
I sing and am the lead in a "band" if you can call it that.... Not sure if singing counts for this but, yeah, I'll be the one belting out notes while everyone else is playing them music.
hoo
Singing is a musical talent. That's pretty cool, dude.
That Ain't Falco
I used to sing in my school chorus, until the director all but made me leave due to some personal issue he seemed to take with me.

Arashikage
When I was a kid, I used to play drums. I was okay. My dad was a pretty good influence on me, cause he was the number one drummer in the Northeast US in his day. But eventually I kinda fell out of the drumming scene, cause it wasn't really my thing. I never owned a drum kit, so every time I wanted to play, I'd use my dad's, but his kit wasn't always set up, and while I knew how to set it up, I didn't want to drop something or break one of his expensive kits. I picked up a bass guitar pretty cheap from a music store. My first bass was an Ibanez 5 string bass, which served me well for the three years I had it. When I sold it, I ended up getting an Ibanez six string in an almost even trade. The SR605 cost me about 140 out of pocket. I consider myself a bassist, though more recently I've been focusing on playing guitar. I usually only play fingerstyle pieces, because they interest me the most, but if you put a chord sheet in front of me I can play almost anything. I kind of amassed a collection of instruments I hardly play as well, but I think they should count, cause I can play them. I ended up buying like six harmonicas all in different keys, because there are a lot of songs I like that have harmonica in them(Walking alone - Green Day, Heaven Nor Hell - Volbeat, Piano Man - Billy Joel, etc), and when I went to Boston with some friends I bought a fife, and was surprised at how similar it is to playing the recorder. It's ridiculous how much money I've spent on instruments as of late though. I have six harmonicas, five guitars, two bass guitars, a fife, a keyboard(My dad gave it to me, I haven't played it much), and a ukulele(Don't ask.)
Dr. Orange
Started with Guitar. Then Piano. The fiddle after that. Viola in the freetime. Cello when they needed one. Bass because Guitar. Drums because needed rhythm practice. Singing since it's fun in the car. Started to DJ at 15. Producing Electronic at 16. Jazz with friends. Country with friends. Trying to pix up the Saxophone. In two bands; first is West coast funk, second is 'indie' chamber jazz. Play keys in both, guitar in one and sing in one. And of course I pray to a French Horn.
Pgpaw3
I used to play the piano when I was younger. I then played the trumpet until 3 years ago and was in one of my school bands, and was in my school choir, but stopped that around 4-5 years ago. Not to mention my epic recorder skills back in primary school.

Guest
I used to play the recorder, but I can also play a ocarina. I have a keyboard but I don't know how to play actual songs on it!
CrypticQuery
I played the alto saxophone for a little while. It's still sitting in my attic - I should break it back out one of these days.

You know you want to.

Ocarina is just like fife/recorder/basically any instrument you blow into with holes punched in it.

It's not so much learning to play an ocarina that is the problem here, it's rather trying to find a music shop local enough that doesn't offer it at a bloody inflated price. Arashikage
When you're a musician, inflated prices are just a normal occurance. You have to be patient with your purchases though, cause instruments go on sale quite frequently as well
LoneWolf
I've DJed as a hobby/bit of income for about 5 years now. Whilst I'm not stellar I intend to make more of a regular practiced thing out of it. I'm planning on moving to a digital vinyl system as soon as I can afford it (and have space to spare for the setup).
BlitzCo45
I used to play the trombone in middle school, but not anymore. But after hearing the guitar playing of Tom Morello, I now am trying to play the guitar
Redeemer
I've played violin, piano, bass guitar, drums and I was at one point really desperate to learn to play a harp but there was like no opportunity so I had to give that up. I don't play anything now, and I doubt I'd be able to do anything without a lot of practice first. I used to be able to play several Interpol songs on my bass. CommanderRed
I've been composing music for a few months now, been going fine. Been a guitarist for two years, a bassist for a year, drummer for 8 years, piano player for 7 years, singer for 3 years, playing ocarina for awhile and got pretty good at it. I've been in a band and we've been recording since 2013, though the band kinda died out when our bassist died in a car accident(He was 19). I started out with heavy songs with lots of drums and guitar, but recently I've been writing slow songs and singing them. I have recorded about 190-270 songs since 2013. I am 14 years old, turning 15 in November. It is hell to restring guitar and basses though, but don't even get me started on taking apart saxophones and such or making an ocarina backwards just so I can play it.
