Well, hello there new fella. I suggest making a more formal introduction in The Front Door.

But, answering your question, I got into it because my brothers were into it. I was just in diapers when they were playing 64. Then I started playing 64, and the rest is history.

It was actually Melee that introduced me to Star Fox. I was just a little kid when I used to play it with my cousin and we ultimately grew up with Nintendo since then.

Uh, it's kind of a long story, but it involves a house move, SSBB, and Samus being a shit character.

I got into it because I grew up with the N64(I'm 14 and yet I grew up with Genesis, NES, and N64 because I am the youngest of 4 brothers born in the 80s and 90s...I am from 2001) I just happened to grow up with outdated games so I didn't even know of the xbox 360 until elementary school, but I knew of the Xbox original.

I played Adventures.

Then I Google'd Krystal.

I then indirectly found SFO.

Everything just went downhill from there.

My Dad randomly got me a copy of Starfox 64 and MLB '99. I hated baseball at the time (And still sorta do) so I played the Starfox cart and loved it more.

My good friend Arashikage had a poisoned first impression of Starfox when he borrowed a copy of Starfox Command. I had 'im, (read: forced 'im) to play 64 and he figured that yeah, Command was a bad egg. He later found the site and got me on here.

*looks around* Nobody started with the original game back when it was still new?

Well for my part, my brother borrowed it back in the days from a classmate/friend in exchange for one of ours. We had no idea what that game even was..I think most of it was only coincidence. Once my brother started playing it, with me watching...let's just say we became quite addicted to it.

Then, in 1997 when Lylat Wars was released, of course we had to buy it on the first day and play it over and over and over.

..and that's the story of how five-year old me became a Star Fox fan back in 1993.

In around 2006-7, I got Star Fox Command. I didn't think much of it, and I didn't play it much.

Years later, in 2012-13, I saw something about Star Fox, and it rang a bell. I searched it, and I done some reading up on it. I remembered that I had Command, and I searched my house to find it, which I eventually did. I fell n love with the series, and the rest is history.

Ironically, Command is now my least favourite in the series, and I see it as a blemish on the series in which I love all the other games, however I'll be grateful for the part it played in my discovery of the series.

When I was moving into my current home, me and my brother would stay at my grandma's house. My cousin left his game cube there and it had ssbm in it. We played that ALL the time. Then when we moved into the house we wanted a gamecube. My dad bought it for us to keep us happy since me and my brother had to leave all our friends. We got too addicted to it so our dad sold it. A year later we got another and it came with TMNT and Star Fox Adventures, and assorted games. While we were waiting for ssbm to come in the mail, I played Star Fox Adventures because I was like, "Hey! That's Fox from Super Smash Bros Melee!" Then when I was like 11 my family bought an xBox with emulators on it. I didn't play around with them too much, but I was like, "cool." Later in the 6th grade my friend was like, "Legend of Zelda is my favorite game series. I've beat them all!" Then I decided to play all the Star Fox games and beat them all. So I broke out the xBox which had Star Fox 64, 1, and 2 on it. (2 would break a lot since it had a bad checksum and the xBox didn't like it.) I didn't like 64 at ALL when I first played it since there was that annoying alarm sound when your health was low, and the game was too hard. But I warmed up to it and played it a lot and still do. The only Star Fox game I haven't beaten is Command for obvious reasons.

I was one of the tardy people to get introduced to Star Fox, but get introduced to it, I did when I started reading the Official Nintendo Magazine UK (R.I.P, 2005-2014), and I think it was issue 83 or something like that that they brought up a classic throwback to StarFox 64 and the original one on SNES. So, my interest piqued, I did some looking up of things on the Internet, and well, here I am today.

Started with Star Fox for the SNES. Became hooked on to the series ever since.

My profile's about page describes it in detail, but the short of it is, loved Fox in Melee, took a higher interest in the franchise because of it, and then became attached once I experienced the first two.

Also, found the greatest loop in earth's history due to that, too. ;)

I was over at a cousin's house trying out Super Smash Bros Melee (I had a PS2, he had a Gamecube).  I was already a fan of anthropomorphized animal characters and naturally gravitated toward playing as Fox.  Curiosity led to me to try out SF64; from that point onward I was a fan.

For me it started with the 1993 release of SF for snes. I loved it for its colors, sound and wonderful musical arrangement. I mean, forest critters meets Starwars. Whats not to love? I joined the site in an effort to rediscover the lost passion for this series and by George it paid of. Its a great community filled with great people who all love the same thing :D

That's pretty cool that you started off with the original. My brothers knew of it back in 93, but they were in middle school and probably liked computers more. For me the game was revolutionary how back then it could generate polygons at an okay framerate(I got into starfox like in 2004). The colors never really struck a chord with me because i'm colorblind .-.

Funny enough star fox and metroid was my introduction to nintendo. In 2005 I got an old computer with windows XP . suspiciously I found a GBA and N64  emulator as well a bunch of Roms  on the hard drive disk.

I started with metroid fusion and I loved it and then I started to play starfox 64 because the other Roms didn't work at all with an Intel Pentium running at 520mhz and a graphic card without fang xDD

I started to play old nintendo games since then. (Except the NES ones even with a console of my own)

In answer to all three - my favorite moment in Star Fox is finding that little weather control unit in Titania and changing the environment. Amazing stuff...

My brother got Star Fox for the SNES when it was brand new - back when those polygons were amazing.

I joined cause Arwing Landing is dead.
