Anyone know how to properly write a script?

I am currently in the process of writing a script for a television show I plan to pitch at some time in the future. I have done nearly all of the pre-writing and have now turned my sights towards putting the actual script together. I have dowloaded a script writing program on my computer and have researched what one must include in a screen script but my question is how a script should be executed. How much detail should be included? How should characters be introduced? Etc, etc...

Any help is appreciated.

Hi there Shmibli7, I happen to be an aspiring screenwriter too (studied it in college) and am in the process of finishing my 4th script before taking them all to an agent.

The best way to figure out how to write a script is to simply read real scripts. Plenty of them are available on the net.

I've not many TV show scripts, mainly film ones (I write feature length) but I would say that, from what I've seen, there's minimal descriptive passages and more focus on dialog in T.V., as the nature of T.V. is more about characters than setting the scene / atmosphere.
