Is Star Fox too small to compete against ANY universe?

that one's getting a lawsuit because it raked in a million bucks already. if this was just being shot on iPhones by some cosplayers after a Trek convention, Paramount probably wouldn't even notice.

But the money is going into funding the movie, it isn't for profit. Though I guess Paramount doesn't care about that.

well, you're taking their word for it that it's going into funding the movie.

more importantly, figures like a million dollars are going to catch Paramount's attention no matter what Axanar says it's for. it's substantial enough that they have to bring down the hammer on it, or else have to explain later (to other copyright violators and/or to the court) why they were willing to let Axanar raise $1M+ but not Hypothetical Future Star Trek Fan Film That Paramount is Trying to Stop: The Motion Picture.

Well, for one, Star Fox seems to mostly take place in one solar that amazingly, has a few planets with a large variety of sentient humanoid species. I think the Aparoid planet and Cerinia might be in another solar system. If Star Fox took place within our solar system, there would only be humans, unless there is genetic engineering involved and people become animal-human hybrids. A conflict in the Sol system would look like something from Iron Sky or, this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bU0CJxUPpAM Most popular science fiction franchises typically involve events that that place on several solar systems. A science fiction franchise that takes place in only one solar system, would quickly bore the average science fiction fan. This is part of what made Star Trek so popular. Because it was about discovering something new, exploring strange new worlds and new civilizations and boldly going where no man has gone before. It is hard to add anything new to Star Fox because, it is mostly restricted to one solar system. Also, Star Fox is just a simple arcade game and TV and movies seem reach a much lager audience than video games. The most popular science fiction franchises that comes to mind, come from TV and movies. While there are some movies and TV shows for video games, like Maria and Sonic, they're still not as good or as popular as something that originated from TV and movies. Here is why a Star Fox movie may not bring it up to the same popularity as Star Wars. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZOby9yQAOM Also, Nintendo is game company not, a TV show and movies company so, their main focus in on video games and even if they do make TV shows and movies based off of their games, it is more like ads for their games. Nintendo also just likes to make simple and fun games. This means that, they wouldn't put to many complex science fiction plots and philosophy that Star Wars and Star Trek has.

Andross and Venom also seem too obviously evil. Unlike the Klingon Empire and Romulan Star Empire, or even the Galactic Empire. Yes we know that they are evil to a certain extent, but they are more reasonable like actual governments and can be negotiated with. Andross just seems like the great evil of evilness that wants to destroy everything. The Galactic Empire is sort of like Andross except, they seem to only want to cause destruction when necessary even if it is a bit over kill and brutal. The Galactic Empire is obviously evil too, but the only way to notice that is if you can see them from the Jedi and the Rebels' point of view. If you actually lived in the Galactic Empire, you would believe that the Empire is good and the Rebels are terrorists. The Galactic Empire appears more like an actual government than, Andross,  who just seems like a super villain who wants to destroy everything just cause he is evil. Also, why would a scientist want to be a politician? Palpatine was a politician from the start, not a mad scientist. The Klingon Empire and the Romulan Star Empire have been shown to be negotiated out of a war or, when the need for it came, sometimes either one of them, or both of them would ally with the Federation. In Star Fox Assault, when the Aparoids attacked, there was no alliance between Venom and Corneria. Venom didn't care about fighting against a common enemy because, they are just plain evil with no real political ideology or agenda. Andross even said in Star Fox Adventures, that he wanted destroy the entire Lylat system. What would be the point of that? He is angry at Corneria for exiling him so, first he wants to attack Corneria and then destroy the Lylat system? Empire Palpatine would never say he wants to destroy the entire galaxy. The Klingon Empire and the Romulan Star Empire would not also claim they will destroy the quadrants. Andross doesn't really have a political reason to hate Corneria. It is only a personal reason which, would be impossible to convince and army to fight for his cause.

I have no idea how Five Nights At Freddy's became more popular than Star Fox. It is basically sitting in an office in a pizzeria and watching cameras and making sure that the possessed animatronics don't come into your office to kill you, resulting in a jumpscare. Five Nights At Freddy's actually seems pretty boring compared to Star Fox and there aren't really any real characters with personalities yet, it has almost gone mainstream and there is even a movie set to come out next year. Nintendo is even a well known video game company and Star Fox has been around since, 1994 while, Five Nights At Freddy's was made by one guy named Scott Cawthon and has only been around since 2014. So, people rather sit in an office trying to avoid jumpscares instead of flying in a star fighter shooting at enemy spacecraft? I don't really understand the general public. It is hard to find anything anthro related in media in the first place.

You forgot about the Homeworld Gems from "Steven Universe" They're like andross and cannot be reasoned with.
