It would be nice to keep a maintained list for the convenience of the readers. If it is possible please list the category that the writing is of such as: drama or humor. Please keep in mind that the fan fiction must follow SF-O's guidelines. Edit: Ratings may or may not reflect the content of these stories, users must click them with their own discretion. If I have time I'll try to keep a tab on those fictions listed if and if the other staff members want to help out with keeping this post as up-to-date as possible they may. Mr. Krystal Posted February 8, 2007 Report Share Posted February 8, 2007 This fic was recommended to me by others, and is probably one of the longest Star Fox fanfic on fanfiction.net. If you like long, involved stories, you will probably like this one. The story-line involves Fox and Krystal's relationship as they take on another mission after Adventures. Individual parts of the story often follows other characters as well, such as Falco and Katt and their relationship. I've read the whole thing, and from what I remember, there wasn't anything against the rules. I remember there were a couple of adult situations, but they weren't descriptive. There were parts where the enemy was basically hypnotized into following orders in spite of the high risk of danger. For example, in one part, the enemy soldiers basically jumped off a cliff in an attempt stop Fox and crew from getting away. That's about as violent as it gets. This story has a few plotholes too. In spite of all this, it has a certain quality that draws you in, making you want to read the next chapter. I recommend this one. Ranger One Posted April 11, 2007 Report Share Posted April 11, 2007 Was amazed to come back and find that, even a second time around, this fic wasn't mentioned anyplace on this site. Time to rectify that problem. This fic was the first of two I read that caught my eye on Fanfiction.net. The second was the one ESF mentioned - in fact, i posted a few critique's on that one myself under the name Guest at the time (they'd be the ones that he wouldn't re-write, something about them being bigger than most fics out there. What can I say, i liked his work! ) But personally, I think this one's the better of the two - it's a full, well planned fic - Fox's Race by Rick Ons. Very long, very well planned, and the characters personalities are captured beautifuly, with good descriptions of the sceens. It's a 10/10 fic, hands down. There's comedy, which helps lighten the mood. (altho one joke is inapropriate for pre-teen readers There's violence, but that's to be expected. Leon and a made-up character are about the top of the violence-descriptions, so i'd slap a 14+ rating on it at least. The fic has romance (even Bill gets some! ), but nothing beyond smooching - altho Fox and Krystal come close to going [glow=red,2,300]way[/glow] beyond that, which is the point - read that section yourself, i got a good laugh out of it at the end when i saw the joke. And don't panic, the author wanted to maintain his "T" rateing, so it's not exactly descriptive. Oh, and did I mention that Earth and humans get to play a part too? (Yay! None of that "humans died out" stuff! ) It may start a tad slow, but give it time, and it'll build quick. It's around 20 chapters of varying length, but they're pretty good sized for the most part, and I couldn't find very many holes in the plot myself. Definently a thumbs up fic, well worth your time. Star Fox Runner Posted April 13, 2007 Report Share Posted April 13, 2007 Dwight mentioned that story Echoes of the Future, I read that and it was amazing, but it was sad at the end and there was a part in there that made me cry (I'm not kidding, I seriously cried... SERIOUSLY). But more to the point, I found out it has a sequel called A Journey Apart, and it's made by the same author as Echoes of the Future. I can't tell you what it's about though because it would spoil the ending of Echoes of the Future, and then people would hate me. All I can say is that it takes place a year after Echoes. Kit Kamarak, the reflections series (The first one being Reflections of Krystal) and Fox Merc, with his Overlord series and Mercenary Wars story. Anyways, a while back, a fellow on Arwing Landing by the name of 'McCracken' wrote this AMAZING fanfiction. The best one I've ever read. It combined new concepts with old favorites, and it really got in depth with the characters, as well as the overall plot. The whole thing played out like a movie in my head. The quotes and puncuation got messed up though, so it may be a bit hard to read. Still, if they were to make a film out of Star Fox, then this should be used as the script or whatever. It's quite simply the best fanfiction I've ever read.
