Mr. Krystal
I say movie as it would get more exposure and would probably be done well, certainly less cheesily than if they were to try to do a tv show these days. Plus, I can only imagine the kinds of awesome special effect that a SF movie would provide. Best barrel rolls ever! Welcome to the boards Krystal08. I see you're using my Krystal iPod picture.
ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
Krystal08, I'm ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987, a master of the 80s and 90s. I'm hoping that there would be a Star Fox television series and movie, but we already have threads for this, both of which I started. If you wanted to go and post in those, look for the ones titled "Star Fox movie (2nd Thread)", and "Do you want Star Fox...." (This one is for discussing a Star Fox animated series). Give it a shot if you please. It all depends on your opinion.

ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
Well, if there was a Star Fox movie, I think I know the right person to play Wolf. Hugh Jackman. Hugh's played Wolverine from the X-Men trilogy, and Wolf is another vicious character, except Wolverine is much more towards protagonist principals. Finding someone to cast as Krystal would be hard. Megan Fox would be too obvious, plus, I don't know if she could do a British accent. There's always Sarah Michelle Gellar, because Sarah's played a lot of heroines who get really bada@#, and give you the impression that they're not damsels in distress. Krystal's kinda developed into that sort of character, yet still a lot of people care about her (Besides furry lust). I know some of you kept telling me not to cast Leonard Nimoy as Andross, and my dad sort of agrees. He says Leonard wouldn't have a mean enough voice for Andross. Most video game movies flop in the box office, so I think it might be better that a Star Fox movie is directly released to the home video market. It could still be done by an independent film studio, and they wouldn't have to worry about how it would do in theaters. Most animated films that did awful in the box office were much more successful on home video, like Jetsons: The Movie. EDIT: Star Fox movies could just be OVA's, couldn't they? ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
You know, if there is ever a Star Fox cartoon, I think the show would have the same level of violence as the games, and it could star Rob Paulsen as Fox, and Frank Welker as Andross. They could also alter the plot so it would turn out like this: Star Fox goes on various missions preventing Andross`s mad ambitions. There would also be a few differences, like after his exile to Venom, Andross takes control of Venom and leads them into a conquest of stealing the natural resources of other planets, since Venom went dry of it`s own resources. Corneria fights back but can`t handle Andross`s army themselves, so General Pepper often hires Star Fox to fight against Andross, and keep him from taking over the cosmos. You still haven't given a good reason for casting stars. Have you seen Sarah Michelle Gellar's voice-acting resume? B. No offense, but you seem to change your opinion a lot. First you wanted Nimoy to be Andross, then you changed your mind. Then, you kept saying how a Star Fox movie SHOULD NOT be direct-to-video, now you want it OVA? Have you considered running for President of the United States? Because you may fit right in. Four-eyed Vulpine
I prefer a movie to a series. I mean, it's a strong one-time deal versus a weaker drawn-out thing. Let me put it this way. Which would have more impact: A bag of 100 marbles, or 100 marbles thrown one at a time?

I decided to pick Gellar as Krystal because she would fit Krystal`s character, just like when I picked Will Smith as Falco. It`s just a matter of voice and/or acting history of the stars. absoludicrous91
It`s just a matter of voice and/or acting history of the stars. Let's look at Sarah Michelle Gellar's voice-acting career in film. Near as I can tell, it consists of her roles in "Happily N'Ever After" (15 mil at the box, score of 4% on Rotten Tomatoes) and TMNT (very good returns, 32% score). This is not to suggest that she is a bad voice actress, but hopefully you see my point. One must regard voice-acting and normal acting as almost completely separate IMO. A movie. Anyone remember 'Excuuuuuuuuuuse me, Princess' Link? Yea... Well, actually, I think SF is far better material for TV than Mario or Zelda. In the Mario games, the characters don't talk, there isn't really a story, and the whole premise is so absurd that it can not (and did not) work on TV. Zelda has that epic storyline, but again the characters don't speak. Yet both were adapted for TV simply because of their popularity and familiarity to mainstream audiences. When adapting games to TV, I say that you should look past how popular the games are and focus on the storyline's potential, which SF's storyline has a lot of. ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
Well, I think Rob Paulsen would be a pretty good Fox. Fox needs a voice that's close to the voice he had in Star Fox 64. If Rob Paulsen didn't work out, then another one I suggest is David Kaye. No, he wouldn't be doing his mean voice he used for Megatron in the Transformers Unicron Trilogy, he'd be using the cheery young man voice he uses right now for Optimus Prime in Transformers: Animated. Let's look at Sarah Michelle Gellar's voice-acting career in film. Near as I can tell, it consists of her roles in "Happily N'Ever After" (15 mil at the box, score of 4% on Rotten Tomatoes) and TMNT (very good returns, 32% score). When adapting games to TV, I say that you should look past how popular the games are and focus on the storyline's potential, which SF's storyline has a lot of. I know Gellar's not a bad actress, she stared in one CGI film that was sh@#, and another one that was great. I thought Sarah would be a great Krystal, because Krystal's kinda grown into this Buffy The Vampire Slayer type of heroine. Krystal's hot, sweet, intelligent, but she's headstrong and a bit tomboyish. I also really think Josh DuHamel would be a great Fox McCloud. He's got a really good voice for Fox, and he recently played a war hero sort of character in Transformers. You know, Capt. Leonnox, the US soldier who killed Blackout. Rick Moranis would definitely fill Slippy. Remember Rick as Louis Tulley in Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II? I picked Robbin Williams as Peppy because, well, he's Robbin Williams. He's been in tons of great movies, like Mrs. Doubtfire or Dead Poet's Society. His voice would also suit Peppy's age in the film. Jim Carry's great for crazy guys, so he would be my Leon. Anotonia Banderas was Zoro, a real Spanish, kinda show-offy sort of guy, so....Panther. It would be great to cast Brad Garret as Pigma Dengar. Brad's played his share of dumb guys. As for Oikonny, this is a hard choice. Anyone for Daniel Ross? Well, I've gotta go, so I'll be getting back to this soon.
Drasiana
Oh lawd, this is a toughie. I'll say series because more than one story can be told with it and it will pretty much just last longer. A movie would be excellent too, though. Either way, I'd be happy.
ARWINGCOMMANDER 3987
Who do you think should make a Star Fox animated series? 4Kids is out of the question, because I know most of you guys hate their shows. I think DiC Entertainment. DiC seems to be the best choice for video game cartoons. I think I know someone who`d be a great writer for a Star Fox TV series. Rick Ungar! Rick`s written storries for many great shows, like X-Men, and both incarnations of Biker Mice from Mars. To wrap it all up, Rick has a lot of experience with sci-fi cartoons, even though all the shows he`s worked on are for audiences 8 years and older. Drasiana
Chances are, they will be Japanese. And apparently 4Kids no longer dubs anime because so many people loathe them, so they're out of the question too.
