I was at a hotel in Virginia during the Bands DC Trip (hate band...I'm finally out). While waiting for the elevator, this japanese guy came and stood next to me. He had this really cool phone thing that clips to your ear. He just dialed the number and put it over his ear(like the headphones that go behind your head. It was so cool. I was practically staring at it. "That is so cool", I kept thinking, "Japan is so much better than us". I think I cried inside knowing how inferior the United States in.

What do you mean by "Stuff cut out of games"?

I mean we get less stuff than you e.g less weapons or somtimes even the games are less callenging like in Star Fox Assault we need less points to unlock everything wich takes the fun out of a good challenge.

Aw man! As a fellow gamer, I feel truly sorry for you. That has to stink pretty bad. The challenge in any video game is the true essence of that video game. (Call me a Video Game Philospher..hahaha)

Yeah, I envy you. But some games are the same as in US like Kingdom Hearts (thank god) but others are worse like Devil May Cry 3, you guys get Vergils sword, you dont realise how good you've got it!!

Easy Travisfox, we don't want to make Nox too jealous. Let's stray away from  Japan...for a while. You ever notice how a lot of products say "Made in ____". Around here, every where, and I mean everywhere, you'll find some that says "MADE IN CHINA". I am so fricken sick and tired of seeing that. My computer chairs made in china, my CD player's made in china. My shoes, my computer, my hat. I"M PROBIBLY MADE IN CHINA, I just can't find the stupid sticker. It's annoying, but I did find on electronic that was made in taiwan. Times change.

Yeah, most people just don't understand the United States. They think for a new country that's only like 200 years old, our size and "power" are too great. I think they're right. We're not that great, We have no GREAT technilogical advantages, We're like 200 billion, trillion dollars in debt to other countries, The United States is messed up. It's a living I suppose. Hurricanes, Tornados, Floods....Mother Nature is disturbed and she's taking it out on us(US)haha, I made a funny...I think.

I read a news article (Yahoo or MSNBC or some crazy stuff like that) about a "real-life" matrix being developed (I think by Sony). Basically it measures brainwaves you send out (unsure how) and then sends some back, ending up making a virtual reality or sommin'. It was a month or so ago when I heard it..

Meh.

I'd hesitate at living in Japan. Such crowded living conditions and stressful work ethics aren't my sorta thing.

I like the US. None of you have ever been to Brazil. And don't. 's not worth it. The president's illeterate. That should tell you something.

But I suppose that there is no perfect country. But, of what I know, the US has more upsides than downsides.

Here's a law for you: the size of processor chips halves every 18 months. It's been true since the 1970s.

I have to say that gaming technology is, by far, the most specialized piece of electronic equipment I have ever seen. It serves one purpose: to run games with the fastest possible speed and efficiency while still being cost-effective. And something tells me we won't see a 128-bit chip for a LONG itme, so get used to 64. 128's just too damn hot to be cost-effective.

I'd have to also say that I don't know where I'd be without technology. At least, modern-day technology. I suppose that, if it never existed, I would've been intrigued by something else, but as long as it exists I cannot imagine being without it. Gaming, programming, internet, all of that has been a part of my life since I was 3, when I played Doom with my dad. But I guess I always had a knack with electronics. I leanrned how to sufficiently use a computer to play games and access the internet by the age of 4. And that knowledge has still been growing, just snowballing as new stuff is presented to me.

I'll also tell y'all this much: we will NOT keep getting more and more advanced like we did at the beginning. That was due to the discovery of silicon and the public application of computers. Until some new material is discovered, or somebody figured out a new method that is backwards-compatible, there will not be such a technological boom again. It will simply evolve as we better learn to use our old tools in new tasks.

Hey, the UK has it's advantages. Note that a large amount of the best imported sports cars are from Europe. They've developed "super cars" as I like to call them. Like the Lotus GT, wich is one of my favorites. I'm most certain that even though they may be expensive, cars like those would be a lot easier to get ahold of there than here in the U.S.

UK's a crapload better than Brazil. There, all they have are beans and boxes for cars (shape-wise), and they're all, like, V4s.

At least the UK gets better cars, as well as non-outrageously priced electronics.

Technology makes the world go round, but most of it is so dang expensive.

Too true. But as it becomes cheaper over time more advanced stuff is availiable so we have to save up all over again. . . and that sucks

Yes, the big companys could made much more advanced things then thoose things they are releasing today, they improve things just a little bit every time, both so it comes out in the stores faster, and so that they can earn on ever little improvment.

your right about that. they get the best cars over there. here in the US our own companies make crapy cars. Then you take our own company over in the UK like Ford. Hmmmm lets see. the escort cosworth, soooo sweet. the focus RS, soooo smooth. but then you look at them here and they suck. not to mention, japan sends the UK their best cars and we get just the normal every day cars from japan. I hate emissions and safty regulations. why do we have to be so strict.
