This place was freaking me out, I was hearing all over the place things like ''Yeah he disappeared'' or ''I heard he died'', it was even stranger because, from what I've known, prisoners are just treated like dirt, this place seemed to be like a hotel or a cafeteria, only full of guards and probably ghosts, I mean, they gave us nice, abundant food, nice beds, etc. Most of the ''prisoners'' were CDF troopers.

''Hey have you tried this popcorn chicken salad?'' Greneck asked, ''How can you be so calm?'' I asked him, ''Cuz I know we'll escape eventually'' He calmly said, while preparing to eat, ''Can we go out of the cafeteria??'' I said, ''Yeah, but only the restroom is open, the rest of the facility doors are closed and protected'' he answered, ''Manual or computer locked?'' I asked, ''Computer'' He said while eating a tuna sandwich, ''Then we can find a way to hack this place, open all the doors and get out wit all the prisoners'' I said, ''Yeah right, this place is probably full of Grizzle's forces'' he replied, ''Right, then we can hack and get all the info we can get about this place, then find a way to silently escape'' I said, ''Good idea, all we need is a PDA (yeah, as you imagine, my armor and technology was gone) or a computer or something'' he said ''I've hacked into Grizzle's network once, however it was before I was captured, I still remember how'' he proudly said, ''Ok, how long have you been here?'' I asked ,''Right, about 3 days'' he said ''Not sure of what they are doing to us Fox, however, I noticed many prisoners look weird'' he said, ''Great, I'm going to the restroom, I'd like to see something'' I said, getting up from my chair.

As I walked down I was looking at the ceiling, searching for any air vent, any conduct network I could use to move trough the facility, I actually just wanted to go the restroom in order to find one, unfortunately, all of the air vents I saw were too small, even for a fox my size, however on my way to the restroom, there was one air conduct were I could go through, it wasn't on the restroom, but in some kind of corridor with a door which led to the machines that allowed air to come in, I was trying to get inside the vent, but the bell rang and it was time to go back to the cells, Grizzle's forces (regular troops and some ghosts, it seemed there were not many) came out from many of the doors to escort us to our cells, I just rushed to the cafeteria, I didn't want them to suspect anything.

When we sat down in our cell I told him ''Hey I found a vent big enough for us to climb in'' I said in a low voice, ''Really, all vents except really important ones are designed so that prisoners won't fit, where is it?'' after giving him a detailed explanation, he said ''Wow, I'm sure it's one of the only vents that size in this place, it must be a conduct which goes to non-prisoner rooms'' he said, ''right, we will have to wait for the next meal, or exercise time to go'' I said, so we waited, in the time we had we thought of a way to get there quickly.

When the bell rang, the guys who took care of the cells opened the doors guarded by soldiers, we were scorted to the cafeteria, there a soldier said ''You know how to behave scums'' he said as all the doors on the facility began to close, as the door in front of him closed, we quickly got into action, we moved quickly but sliently, dodging many security cameras, when we got there, I took out from my pocket a screw driver to pull out the vent's protection so we could get in, once inside the air vents we began to move, ''man, where to'' I said, ''Anywhere where there's a computer'', we began to move carefully, we saw many weird rooms, one looked like a practice ground for something, it had a big steel hatch, most of them looked like labs, there was one room which we couldn't avoid noticing, it was an armory, it had all the arsenal ghosts use, including the cloaking armor vests they used, after seeing some other rooms we found one which looked dusty, but it had a computer and 2 drawers, we silently jumped from the vents to the room.

''Ok, give me 5 minutes, we still have 37 minutes of free time, more than enough time to go back'' Greneck said, ''Sure, I'll see If we can find anything usefull'' I said as I opened one of the drawers, ''Ok, just be silent'' He said, as I opened the second drawer Greneck said ''Hey Fox, look at this'', ''Bingo!'' I said, as I found a handfull of CDF PDAs, probably used in the past by some of the prisoners here, I gave one to Greneck and took one for me, I turned to the screen and began to read...

'' New Hope Facility Data log, Coded 154474

Ghost project is now complete, Mastermind Grizzle did it again, under his orders, we are stalking any CDF or stranded civilian who deserves a chance to become a ghost, this place is basicaly where ghosts are trained, we have captured many CDF troopers which outstand the others, they are scheduled for training, and are now here at new hope, preparing to serve us''

''Wait, are you telling me that we are going to help Grizzle???'' I interrupted ''First dead! I mean, how did they turn CDF troopers against Corneria???'' I angrily said, ''What's next is worse...'' Greneck said.

''New Hope Facility Data log Code 794882

This troops are too hard to turn to our side, that's why our scientists have engineered something amazing! a liquid element we call ''N-1160'', this synthetic element is like steroids, they buff the ghosts and strangely makes them more easy to brainwash, however they also become more aggresive and unpredictable, yet again, our mastermind came with an amazing idea, he decided to implant an aggression inhibiter chip to ghosts, making them calm under any situation, boosting their battle performance even more, and making them easy to control. Normal troops are buffed with this substance as well, but not at a critical dose like ghosts are''

We were just speechless, this guy, along with all of his army was a monster, after keeping silence for about 5 minutes, Greneck said ''Fox, give me that PDA'' He linked the devices, saying that he would explain later, I was crushed by many feelings at that point. ''Let's go Fox, just 10 minutes left'' He said, with that unusual calm attitude he had.

Inside the air vents I activted the old PDA, downloaded my network to it and began to type a message I was going to send to Raydric, ''Are you nuts!??!'' Greneck said ''They'll track that signal inside this place!'' he said surprised, ''Who said I would keep it'' I said, as I finished the message, '' Come on, let's go to the machine which supplies air to this place'' I said as we crawled in inside the air conducts, ''Ok, just 5 minutes Fox'' He said.

When we got there, we saw the clear night sky for the first time in days, there was a narrow air entrance, if you are wondering why we couldn't escape through there, it's because the structure was just like a small concrete tube which connected the surface to the facility air supplier, anyway, I touched the ''Send'' Icon on the PDA and threw it to the outside of the facility through the concerte tube, that way my signal wouldn't be inside the facility and the battery on the PDA would run out before it could be found, and of course, I'd send my message.

When we got back, Greneck waited for al the guards to go, then he took out the PDA and told me ''Fox, this PDA here, is our key to escaping, I found out that all prisoners are scheduled for weekly injections of that thing, by linking the PDA wit the network, I can hack the system to say that we have been already injected, that way we will avoid getting turned evil! We can charge this thing using the current from the lights in this cell and we can hide this thing under the matress, we are saved buddy!''.

That night I was thinking many things, If we faked we were being injected we would eventualy get the ghost training, but we would be good, we would get their suits and weapons, we were going to get out o here! BTW I think the substance in those soldiers was the thing that made Krystal so frustrated.

-Meanwhile- (switching to Krystal)

''Krystal good news'' I heard through my dreams, as Thunderstar and me were sleeping in a tent inside a buiding, I woke up, picked up my communicator and answered, ''Yes Raydric?'', ''I just recieved a message from Fox'' he happily said, I felt a huge relief, ''He is ok, I tracked the signal and it comes from somewhere around Cornerian mountans, he didn't answer when I called though, however, he told me to send you this message'' He said as he transfered the message to my PDA, then he said ''Raydric out''. I read the letter while thunderstar was asleep

''My beloved Krystal

I hope you are fine my love, I also hope Thunderstar is fine, I'm sorry I did that crazy thing, however it was me or, well geez, all of us, anyway, I'm fine, I really don't know where I am, me and a green fox I met named Greneck have found many information, I have sent it to you as an attachment, I would like to write more, but I have little time, I just want you to know I love you.

By the way, watch your back, because you are an excellent fighter.

3 weeks have passed since I sent the message, they obviously couldn't determine the exact location of the transmision, the PDA's battery is long dead, I only hoped for Krystal's safety, Thunderstar's as well, over this past weeks we noticed many things, most of the prisoners which were with us since we arrived were becoming aggressive, and they were started to be treated like real prisoners, of course, Greneck's plan had worked, and of course, after being in contact with all those buffed up guys we learned to fake the post-injection symptoms, so they didn't suspect anything, that's what happens when you trust your chores to computers.

Of course we had began to take the Ghost training program, another important thing we noticed was that things like our fur was growing faster, we also noticed we were slightly stronger, we were of course worried about this, so, with the help of the stolen PDA we made some investigation, and we found out that even the food was impregnated with a variation of the N-1160, which was less aggressive to life forms that the normal one, luckily this was not strong enough as the one in pure state which was injected to prisoners,so, It really didn't affect our behavior, I didn't know how Krystal was going to react to this, unfortunately we had to either eat this trash or starve to death, so all we could do was fake until we had a chance to get out.

It was Tuesday, the day of the week in which I was scheduled to be injected, a guard was coming down to check on me, all I did was fall on my bed and face towards the wall, when the guard passed by he asked Greneck, ''Is he ok'', Greneck answered ''yes'' In an aggressive tone and the guard just continued to check the other prisoners on the hall, just as he left the hall I got up from my bad and turned to Greneck, ''Idiot'' I laughed, ''Yeah'' said Greneck with a smile on his face, some hours later it was time to enter the training room.

By now we had already understood what ghosts really were, they were assassins, they used knifes and Katars to take out their target while they were cloaked, of course, they used high powered handguns, and of course the stelthy weapon: snipers, but in general, they used any weapon they had at hand.

Training was hard, me, Greneck and many other prisoners entered a big room, we were given a handgun and a plasma-edged knife, and we had to fight defence drones, of course we were bruised and stuff, but nothing too serious, that tuesday, after the training ended an instructor with an escort came to us and told us to meet him on the door behind the long hallway after the cells, once there another instructor with a weird mask said ''You soldiers are ready to use the armors, consider yourselves lucky, as you are going to wear a prototype version of the ghost suit, follow us'' his distorted voice traveled through the hall as Greneck, me and some other prisoners followed, we entered an armory next to the one we saw, there were many ghost suits, we were beggining to get the size of the project, ''Put them on, they will automaticaly fit you perfectly'' just as he said that we got inside those things, they were made out of a weird material, it seemed as if they were made of an extremely flexible metallic alloy, they were also filled with some kind of small marble sized nodes, which were probably the cloaking device, they were all around the suit, it had a weapon clip on the back to take any weapon in your back, a cilindrical storage in the belt for a small low-powered type of granade, a handgun slot on the leg and a hidden plasma-edged katar on the right arm, an amazing thing about this things was that they also provided extra muscular power, giving extra phisical strenght, we thought that with the help of this suit it was time to attempt our escape.

After we got into them they explained the basics, they said that only with that and with the training we were ready to be ghosts, however, after saying this the instructor added a ''You are only missing something'' this was of course, the chip implant, so we had to escape now, or never do it...

That night we had no suit, but we were not on the prison cells, we were on a preparation chamber along with the rest of the prisoners, we had to get out and find the armory, there was no way to get out silently, so we were going to have to do it the ugly way...

I picked up some of the small granades and detonated 3 on the steel door, our plan was to use the other prisoners as bait, so that they would be blamed, we of course fled quickly to the air vent we always used while the other prisoners caused havok, once there we had to get to the armory, with nothing more than our trusty screwdriver, until we got to the armory...

Once we blasted the door, we silently ran towards the air vent, we found a soldier with a shotgun on our way, unfortunately, we couldn't be stopped now, so taking advanage that we were 2, we had to take him out, Greneck picked up the shotgun, as he guarded me while I got in the vent, then he followed.

When we got to the armory, we quickly found the suits we used earlier, one cool thing about those armors was that they had like some kind of ownership memory, the person that first used them was the only one to be able to use the cloak or the autofit,  this was probably in case the owner was killed, the armor couldn't be stolen and used, when we found our armors, put them on and got back to the vents with one power jump, once inside the vents we quickly moved cloaked to the air supplier, the place where I threw the PDA 3 weeks ago, I took a deep breath, and power jumped, holding the edge of the concrete tube and got out, Greneck following me with the shotgun on his armor clip. when we got up we looked at the sky, finally, when we looked down, we noticed we were on a cornerian mountain, with a thick forest of pine trees, we took the suit masks off and destroyed them, as they had the communicators and GPS systems, so that we couldn't be found, we cloaked and moved to find the entrance to the facility, when we found it...

-MEANWHILE- at the time this part began

(switching to Krystal's point of view)

''Gunfire coming in from above!!!!!'' said Thunderstar as we covered under a car, drones were firing from the sky as Grizzle's snipers covered from the rooftops, they had us pinned, we couldn't do anything, I noticed a sewer entrance right under the car we were hiding, I took the lid off and told Thunderstar ''Get in there!!! now!!!!'', ''Going!'' he said as he jumped into it, I took my communicator off and gave it to him, then I covered it again as the car we were under was tossed aside, probably as a result of a granade launcher shot, I was open to any kind of fire, however they were just aiming at me, suddenly I felt a headache, I tried to get up, but then I fell to my knees, two ghosts appeared on my back and said ''Do not move'' as the other one put handcuffs in my waists, they carried me to a nearby carrier and guarded me and 2 other wounded CDF troopers inside it...

If you are wondering what I've been doing this 2 weeks, well, Thunderstar, Raydric and I have been trying to track down Fox, with no results, we totally forgot about Grizzle, we must find Fox, then we can destroy Grizzle, we have been In many battles, but until today we were defeated...

We were on a high view of the facility's entrance, when we noticed a carrier was arriving with new prisoners, as they opened the door, about 7 CDF troppers came out, but it seemed one of them was figthing inside the carrier, suddenly a common Grizzle troop came out flying form the carier's door, then a ghost which was there as an escort entered the van, and when he came out he was holding my favorite blue fur on his filthy hands, It was Krystal!! I cloaked and jumped from the small high ledge we were watching from, ''CRAP!! Fox come here!!!!!'' Greneck said ''You are going to get killed, they are too many!!'' he said as I reached the ground, then I cloaked and prepared the plasma edged katar on my right arm, and took out the handgun with my left hand.

I began to run towards them while cloaked, when suddenly the ghost that was with them activated the thermal scan on his mask, unfolding his knife as I ran towards him, while this happened everyone else had a WTF expression on their faces.

I jumped towards him with my Katar ready, as soon as the plasma edges on my katar were a few centimeters from his heart the ghost quickly blocked my hit with his knife, now the 3 soldiers knew that I was around the ghost, but they luckily couldn't fire because they'd probably hit their ghost as well, all they could do was stare at the battle.

The ghost activated his cloak device, this was a problem because I smashed my mask earlier, so I didn't have any way to see him while he was cloaked, suddenly, Krystal yelled ''TO YOUR RIGHT FOX!!!'', I turned around and dodged what might have been a deadly stab, thanks to Krystal's telepathy, I could figure out where he was, however as soon as she yelled the troops told her to shut up, but then the troop holding her just fell to the grond dead, then quickly the other soldier was eliminated, leaving just the ghost and me, ''Get him Fox!!'' Greneck yelled as he decloaked.

Thanks to Krystal's help, I could find out where the ghost was coming from, ''Fox, right in front of you!'' Krystal said as I listened carefully, as the ghost began running towards me, I managed to conver the stab with the armor on my arms, then I jumped to his back and with my Katar I severed the main cables on the network of nodes which were the cloaking device, making his armor just for protection as the cloaking malfunctioned, he then got angry and took my right arm, then violently tossed me to the grond with my own weight, as I got up, I saw his silhouette through the sunlight, as he aimed his handgun to my head, Krystal kicked his hand and his handgun fell to the ground, he turned and pushed Krystal aside while I got up, Greneck helped Krystal to get up, I loaded the handgun again and took the chance that he was distracted with both Greneck and Krystal, I ativated the katar, then I ran towards him and jumped over his head, just between his eyes, then I fired my handgun, he just fell to the ground dead, I got up, took a deep breath and looked at Krystal.

I knew she was mad, but at the same time she looked happy, we suddenly ran to each other, ''How could you!'' she said as she soflty cried, I just remained silent with a smile, while thinking ''I'm back'', after hugging for some seconds, she looked at my face, with an empty look ''Tell me you are fine'' she said, she must know by now I ate some of that trash, ''I'm fine Krystal, we evaded being turned evil, the small amount of substance in us is going to fade away soon'' I said, she looked even happier by now, ''by the way, this is Greneck'' I said pointing at him, ''Hi miss'' He said with his cool-going nature, ''Hello, thanks Greneck'' Krystal said, it was time to get back on tracks, however we now had a new party member, and there were some things I'd like to do first...

and by some things first I mean it was time to send the CDF the location of Grizzle's facility, I turned to a soldier's body and picked up a communicator, and signaled the coordinates anonimously to the CDF headquarters, as soon as I signaled the loction I picked up Krystal in my arms, then cloaked and with Greneck we began to ran to a place far enough from the facility, as soldiers, guards and a couple of ghosts, we were obviously discovered by  now, and they had some information on us, from the moment we entered the facility.

We stopped at a riverside of one of the mountain's natural rivers, just to take a break, ''Great, now explain me what happened'' Krystal said with an angry tone, ''Geez, where should we start'' Greneck ironically said, ''Well, first things first'' I sighted, ''Yes?'' Krystal said, ''Well first of all, that place is where ghosts come from, it's called new hope, it is full of secrets, I bet we only scratched the top of the cake'' I said, ''Yeah, we just saw some rooms, after all, I bet it's a very big place'' Greneck stated with a sure expression, ''What else'' Krystal curiously said, ''Well, here comes the ugly part... Greneck can you explain...'' I said, ''Sure'' Greneck said ''Well you see, the reason why Grizzle's army looks supernatural is because of a synthetic substance they call ''N-1160'', which makes them phisically stronger, but wipes their personality and their control of aggresion, of course they can't train ghosts like this, so they make aggresion inhibiters and implant them to their heads, also some of this substance is within the food served to prisoners, however, it's a less aggressive ''brother'' of the ''N-1160'', Krystal was looking at us with a weird face ''So you guys are...'', ''Nope'' we both interupted, ''Greneck hacked into the system in order to fake the injections'' I said, ''So we only ate the crap in the food'' Greneck said, ''then we faked till' we got the ghost armor and that's it'' I said, ''Yeah, we may not be as strong as normal ghosts, but hey, we've got the armor and the training'' Greneck said.

We fished some food and ate quickly, while we talked, ''Hey one question guys'' Krystal asked, ''Yes?'' I answered as Greneck took a big bite of fish, ''How are we walking all the way to Corneria'' Krystal asked looking at me, ''God, good point'' I said, ''Guess we'll have to go back and get a carrier...'' Greneck said while he cleaned his face, ''Great...'' I sighted, the place was probably on red status, full of guards and stuff.

It was getting late, time for us to strike, there were always several parked carriers on the outside of the base, however they were guarded by cameras and automatic turrets, as we approched the facility we noticed there were soldiers outside, there were also guys with tracker devices on their hands, scanning for our path, ''Ok this is the plan'' I quietly said ''Greneck, you can surely get past the carriers locks, so you'll get it, Krystal and I will distract the guards'' I said as I gave Krystal the handgun on my armor, Greneck cloaked, as he jumped down to where the carriers were, just as that happened, I took out 3 of the small granades on the belt and activated them, Greneck was down begining to unlock the carrier, as I saw that I threw the granades to the front door, and just when the granades made 2 quick beeping sounds, the granades simultaneusly exploded, getting the attention of all Grizzle troopers and trackers, the explosion took out one tracker and 2 troopers, I jumped down and cloaked as Krystal opened fire from above, I activated the plasma-edged katar and began to wipe out soldiers, as Krystal got them from a higher point, suddenly troopers and ghosts began to come out of the destroyed door, ''Greneck hurry!!'' I thought as 3 ghosts changed their vision to thermal scan, I suddenly noticed Krystal was not firing anymore, in fact, she wasn't there...

Just as I took a defensive stance, Greneck yelled ''YAHOOOOO!!!'' as he sharp turned the carrier, Krystal was on one side of the carrier with an open hatch, as he passed by me, Krystal took my hand and pulled me up, then Greneck closed the hatch, he began to move even faster, taking out everyone and everything which got in his way, the ghosts and the troopers were just staring at the carrier leave.

As Greneck drived down the mountain, he took out his handgun and fired it on a spot of the carriers controls, ''Good bye satellite tracker'' he laughed as we got closer to Corneria
