DZComposer
I like some of it. I particularly like the chord structure of Spanish music, which a lot of Latin music retains.El Cumbanchero is my favorite of the ones you posted. I'm a sucker for Latin Jazz. I'm intrigued by the four drum set of timbales.I like Bill Holman's arrangement of Ernesto Lecuona's Malagueña that he did for the Stan Kenton orchestra:TN9sp6ApX4oThere are newer recordings on Youtube, but the bands omit the mellophones, which I believe make the piece what it is. I have tremendous respect for Kenton's mello players, as those Conn Mellophoniums were notoriously plagued with tuning problems. Modern mellophones are much better sounding.lGkhiiM-KRgThe song has become popular on the marching circuit. A lengthened arrangement makes up the closer of the Broadway show "Blast!" which is comprised of the former Star of Indiana drum corps. Mellophones are common on the marching scene, so they are present. The flugelhornist at the beginning is awesome. Circular breathing FTW. LOL @ timpanist who loses stick on last note.EuQQxZ7TXaYThis is the original Malagueña: Part of the Analucia suite for the piano.
