Bomb-Omb vs. Normal Bomb

[airplane nerdiness] Normal bombs (especially Mk.82s) are more aerodynamic, so I can load out more without having to worry about vastly increased drag area. That means longer operational range and higher cruise and top speed, and a reduction in fuel burn. [/airplane nerdiness]

however, bob-ombs can walk around before exploding, and that's gotta scare the cr@p outa your enemies. They're like the suicide bombers of Mushroom Kingdom.

talk about smart one in airplanes

OT:i have to agree with showtime  on both areas of the post

a normal bomb probably wouldn't increase the drag but it probably would increase the weight of the plane in creasing the probability of a crash upon landing resulting in the  failure of fighter protocol.

on the bomb-omb side how ever they are organic life forms who chemically produce a combustable chemical which if combined with oxygen spontaneously combust  and then force the combusting chemical to the fuse in which you have 5 seconds to get out of there as fast as possible with out getting exploded

keep in mind that bomb-ombs are very fast despite being short.

Showtime sums it up quite nicely.

I wonder how easy Bob-ombs are to mass-produce? Imagine millions upon millions of them begin airdropped on enemy turf and start racing towards their targets?

Dropping an H bomb would destroy more than just the targets ;)

Where is proof that they are actually living? Vague humanoid apperance with eyes and feet doesn't necesarily mean they are living.

they TALK!

any more reason to why they shouldn't be living?

Microsoft Sam talks just as good as them. Does that mean he is living?

There are thousands of robots around capable of speaking, even a handfull which can understand speak, put together an appropriate response and say it.

Machinery also makes heat. An outlet of warmt in short intervals could easily be viewed as breathing. Think of an old fashioned steam locomotive.

Also, the creature from the Aliens movie series was capable of "breath," mostly for the purposes of hissing, but they seemed to be able to survive well enough in space, not needing to breathe, granted Ripley did defeat the queen by launching it out of an airlock, but we never actually saw it die, and keep in mind that the Bomb-ombs are powered by wind-up clock springs.

We need to ask Shigeru Miyamoto

it says at wikipedia and i quote

"Bob-ombs, known as Bomuhei (????) in Japan, are living bombs, sometimes with windup keys on their backs. They wander around aimlessly and eventually explode. They first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 2. Bob-ombs are common enemies in Super Mario 64 as well as allies. In these games, Bob-ombs are first encountered in Bob-omb Battlefield, a level that is ruled by King Bob-omb. Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door feature two playable Bob-ombs named Bombette and Admiral Bobbery respectively."

hah!

Please provide a link. Also, wikipedia can be edited by anyone with an internet connection. The one who wrote that article could have been anyone, even someone who think a wind-up bomb is living because it speaks, have feet and eyes.
