Nysut
What would have happened if SF Assault had come out long before it did. It would have been released on the N64. Could you imagine what our favorite characters would look like back on that hardware? Would they look like these images perhaps?[Pruned to save disk space]
Fox-Shot
Most N64 faces have higher res eyes, which is all that is inaccurate in this photo, how did you do this? Is this the version of the characters when they are far away from you?
Mr. Krystal
OOoh! I like low-poly. They are right though. Though the models may not have had higher-res textures, they would have lower detail textures, which would reduce the blurring problem.
Asper Sarnoff
Ohh, this looks cool. Strange how lower quality models and textures can make one get more interested.
Star Fox Runner
Okay, that is cool! How did you do that?
Mr. Foxer
They need to look more blocky, but I doubt that if SFA did come out on the N64, Nintendo would leave the models that low res and all.

Fox-Shot
I'm still wondering if these are fan works or draw distances version of the characters.
Nysut
Wonder no more Fox-Shot. These are the draw distance versions of the characters, captured from a SF Assault VS match. They looked to me like they would fit in a 64 world, but it's true that they would be optimized for the system if that were true. They also remind me of Animal Crossing for some reason.

Matrilwood
It would not have Krystal in it. Becouse Krystal was only added when they wanted to turn Dinosaur Planet into a Starfox title. Thats why Starfox Adventures is nothing like the other games. You never know, Krystal may never have existed Dinosaur Planet was a canceled game used as the base for Starfox: Adventures which potentially may not have existed at all if Starfox Assault was made instead.
