Next Star Fox Music

Okay, this isn't part of the New Star Fox game thing that DZ's strict about, but this thread is purely dedicated to the Next StarFox's Music.

We know that Assault probably had the best music of all the Star Fox games, so how do you think the Next StarFox's music is going to be like? Should it be like revamped versions of the snes songs? Should Nintendo finally pull some creativity out of their a*s and make some new songs? Let me know! I thought about this a lot because assault did a pretty good job remaking the 64 soundtracks and I don't know whats left for the new one (if there is going to be a new one  :|)

Phearps they can 'adapt' songs made by real life bands/artists.S

Say, I wonder what an SF version of "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" Would be like...

I can only think of a word: AWEsome!

I'd like remixes of the SF64 soundtracks :)

That would be nice. :) I loved what Assault did with the re-orchestration of StarFox 64 themes. :D I would love to see the same treatment given to the other SF 64 songs that were not used in Assault.

I think new adaptions of older music would work quite nicely.

I think they'll probably go orchestra again. But I'd prefer to see more original pieces than remixes, after Assault.

That's awesome :D

I thought so too, there's also:

The metal remix,

Metal remix of the original Star Fox's Corneria stage,

8-bit remix of Star Wolf, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3RJVZRHojo

And while this wouldn't be a song for a game, it's still funny (The song actually kicks in at about 20 seconds),

I totally digging this one. Stuff like this (with a little more professional effort) would go really good in the next Star Fox, like the Corneria remix in ssbb.

OK, I know it would need its own music, but I'd love to hear something in the background of it that is something like this

Licensed music ruins games. It never fits as well as purpose-written music.

Except for "I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire".

I wouldn't necessarily say that's true. Many racing games just have songs written by bands ect. ATV off-road fury had some Blink 182. That game really was great  :P

I'd like to see a mixture of some original tracks and some orchestrated mixes of "the old hits"- especially from the SNES games. The SNES games had great soundtracks and could use a little lovin' in an official Star Fox game (I know SSB uses some), so they'd be less at risk of being overused. And I know I'm not the only one who think it'd be awesome to see the original Star Wolf theme used in a dogfight...

We think alike bro! Remix's of old StarFox songs would be great, but I wouldn't mind something new. I actually wouldn't mind the Corneria remix in ssbb to be the actual corneria theme in the next StarFox.

Actually I would like to see some 'scene-fitting' music even if it is not a remix of any SF game.

Could be licensed, remix, or original, but I think it matters if it suits the situation/place you are in (for example, tension music during a chase, or victory music after a victory... ect.)

I have played some games where the music has literally 'nothing to do' with the place/situation you are in. You know, it is funny if you are in a wasteland and there is circus-like music playing in the background. It just does not fit, but that´s just what I think.

Instead of remixes, maybe they will just invent some more music like character themes for new characters. If there will be any...

I'm sure that is what they would do if they introduced new characters, if they're not stupid...

Most of the time it does. It's better to have a musician that knows the games and can interpret the game in lyric form in which sometimes good off for them.
