When I play a game, I play as me if able, but otherwise I will usually pick the lady. You?

Mostly guys. Probably because I always chose the big meele tanker when given the option, which in 99,9% of the cases is a male.

When it comes to console games, I really don't care, but on mmos, I am mostly male, cause I hate being gender confused.

I take a look at stat advantages and disadvantages, for example in Fallout 3 female characters have the Black Widow perk which increases damage to male targets by 10% and guess what the gender is of most people in the game?

If there is no significant difference then I play as a male.

I usually pick male to match me, but in all honesty, I don't really care. I care when it comes to the one that has better stats. (i.e. Mario Kart Wii. All the girls' stats are higher than the boys.)

I doesn't really matter to me.  But in an adventure game where you get to choose and the genders don't have any differences stat wise, I would be male.

I sort of automatically pick the male character, stereotypical I guess.

However, most of the games I play, the character is anonymous, so it becomes me. :P

2nd time, Completely agree!

I do not know why I do something similar.

I play as the male when given the option.  However, when you're able to customize multiple characters, I have a mix of both.

Most of the time I choose males, but rarely I choose females. It just depends on what's being played.

I generally pick male characters, but if it comes down to it, it doesn't really matter to me
