Showtime 1-1
I was playing Super Mario World (My favorite Mario game, BTW) on my GBA when I realized that I was really playing an old SNES game on Gameboy. This got me thinking about some other great SNES titles released on GBA, mainly Donkey Kong Country, Final Fantasy and Fire Emblem. Now I'm wondering if Nintendo could have ported the original Star Fox over to GBA. I would buy it. The only reason I could think of not to is because of the Super FX chip that the SNES version had, maybe that isn't replaceable. The small screen might pose a visibility problem too, but I don't think that's too big a deal. After all, the PSP has some very detailed games on a very small screen, and there doesn't appear to be a problem with that.

The Super FX chip would be,today, relatively easy to emulate. All they wouldneed is someone to actually make the port, but thatis all. Also it should be noted that the GBA is, in tech terms far more advanced than the classic SNES. Heck, entire series, such as the SEGA Gen/Meg "Strike"have been ported to the GBA... Guest FoXXX
I've never heard of it on the GBA :(
Braux
I'd definitly like to see it, would be easier for me to get a copy than emulating it or going downtown, buying an SNES and the only copy they have of Starfox.
Showtime 1-1
I know for a fact it wasn't done, and I think they stopped producing GBA games years ago. I'd really like to see a combo pack of Star Fox 64 and Star Fox on the DS, or maybe they could rework Star Fox 2 into a casual, retro-style game. Star Fox Runner
or maybe they could rework Star Fox 2 into a casual, retro-style game. From what I can tell, they attempted to do just that with Star Fox Command, and seeing how well that went over as evidenced from the discussions on this site, (I LIKED THAT GAME BY THE WAY) they seem to have failed, though I personally don't think so. DZComposer
The Super FX chip would be,today, relatively easy to emulate. Actually, none of the SNES emulators out there have gotten SFX emulation right yet. Yes, the games run without crashing, but they don't run the same as they do in an SNES.Also, it is worth noting that not one SFX game has been released on the Wii VC yet. Not even Yoshi's Island. It is worth noting that Yoshi's Island was ported to the GBA, but it is likely the engine was modified to run natively on the GBA instead of relying on SFX2 emulation. I have read accounts that some of the special effects were removed from the GBA version.

What I mean was kind of "it would not be so hard to do". But so far you are right, I have not seen that happen...
