Personally with HDTV being here and all and the fact that LCD TV's are catching up with video games, I think it would be less trouble if you get yourself a new TV whenever you can. CRT TVs are very good fresh rate wise, but HD tv's are getting better and more affordable. There are some TVs at local stores going around 100 dollars for the size as that TV you showed us.

Just a suggestion. Cathode ray tube televisions and trouble shooting them are not my thing, unless its installing stuff from behind of it. Usually if the TV is old and its is already starting to get problems, the most practical and affordable way to fix the problem is just to replace it.

Knowing you, that would likely destroy the TV.

these are tough times, but this is the best time to buy certain things that are low in price as well. =3

Good point

Also Matt, If you can't fix your TV, if you have a Goodwill near you, I'm sure you can pick a good TV up at a very good price, I bought a TV+VCR combo for $5 :) It may not be much by a lot of peoples standards, but it lets me play my SF64 :)

:lolhyst: , as for the topic, you should probably consider replacing the set, although I really love CRT TVs :D

You might have to make do until you can get a better TV :)
