You JUST now found this out?  They've already annouced this like a year or two ago, but the controller looked more primitive than the ones they're showing off now.

THIS INFO HAS BEEN OUT FOREVER!! I recently found out that one of my teachers is a BETA tester for Sony, and he's getting some of the Playstation Moves (the name, lol) to test! These things look pretty good, as shown by this demonstration from some years E3:

Can't really sue over this, it's not the same product.  The Playstation move actually has more advanced motion tracking, lithium-ion batteries, and THERE ARE GLOWING BALLZ ON TOP!! YAY!

To little, to late. Sony lost this generation of the console wars, at least if one looks how much they earnt in comparison to development costs. They would be better of perfecting this technology for the PS4.

I read an article in May's issue of Game Informer for an upcoming title requiring the controller and it said that in order to send a shock wave, you had to spin 360 degrees in place to send it out.

Technically before Wii, there was EYE-TOY on ps2.  And on EYE-TOY there were two titles that the Wii ripped off.  "Eye-Toy Play", and "Eye-Toy Play Sports".

Hmm, Wii Sports and Wii Play suddenly sound familiar....

He's being a smart arse.

Anyway, the reason hardcore laugh at the wii, or in my case shout at it for taking my money is not the hardware, but rather the games. Sony brings out the move. Great. Anything worth playing? No. While there are some good games on wii, there is nothing amazing. Mario and Metroid come close, but I'd rather play Halo, or Modern Warfare. I'm still buying PC, DS and PS2 games, I've not bought a 360 game for a little while, but the wii has had nothing since those 2 mentioned above. There are a few games that sound interesting, but why have ok when you can have great?

Technically Nintendo backstabbed and insulted Sony before, with the Super Nintendo CD add-on that was scheduled to come out.  Nintendo wanted a CD add-on for the SNES like the Genesis had.  They hired Sony to help them out.  Nintendo then dropped out of the deal with Sony, and partnered with Phillips, AFTER Sony had already made several press conferences about the partnership and new add-on.  Obviously Sony was pissed, and years later, the Playstation was born.

This video explains it in greater detail:

To my knowledge, I don't believe that Phillips has been bought out by Sony, or any other company for that manner, although I could be wrong  :D

Not really matt. Sabre is right. Not much has been good at all on the wii. Everything just seems like it's being made easier, less effort, and all around more casual. A lot of the recent stuff is just basic shovelware.
