I know this is similar to another poll already here, but I've collected known pairings as well as alternate or commonly imagined pairings, and pairings I've seen a lot in the Japanese fandom and in the furry community.

Falco and Katt is a really interesting one IMO. She stalks him around, and he does his best to avoid her, almost a little scared of her?

Amanda and Slippy is also an nice one, since that's basically Slippys middle finger to everyone who joked about him being more girl than guy.

But, who the heck is Croakella? Something tells me that's a fanmade girlfriend for Slippy from the old fandom days, but I could be wrong.

Well, in all fairness, I only added Falco × Katt because it's been commonly imagined by Western fans.  But canonically, it's never had a snowball's chance in hell. X3 Falco doesn't go for the girls, and has ruled out ever having a girlfriend.  And I've never seen the Japanese fans pair him with Katt or any other woman. X3 By far the most common pairing I see Japanese fans portray (of any two characters) is of Fox × Falco (even Fox × Krystal is rarer and not as well-liked).  Katt is more like a best friend who has been in love with Falco, but Falco has never shared those feelings.

And Croakella appeared only in a photograph Slippy showed his friends.  According to the 1993 Nintendo Power comic, Croakella was Slippy's first girlfriend, and gave him his first wart.  If Slippy still had such a girlfriend, she was either re-imagined into Amanda, or was before Amanda.  Both Croakella and Amanda have a bow in their heads, but Croakella wasn't pink.

As for questions of Slippy's gender, it was never in doubt before Star Fox 64 - in Star Fox and Star Fox 2, Slippy has a baritone voice (deeper than Fox or Peppy, but not as as deep as Falco) - the woman's voice they gave him in Star Fox 64 was absolutely ridiculous. XD It was Peppy who used to have the highest-pitched voice (countertenor), but it was still recognizably masculine in such a way that his gender was never in doubt.  As you may be able to tell, I have never been fond of Star Fox 64 voices in general - I could tolerate Fox and even a tenor Falco, but Peppy, Slippy and Pepper's voices were blasphemy. XD

I agree, but I like Fox's and Falco's voices in SF64 :)

Ones you have two voices that awesome, you know they are gay for each other.

Edit: Oh yeah, Imma vote Falco + Fox, Krystal+ Fox, Fara + Fox, as long as there are no plot thingy's between Fox+ Krystal, Fox+Fara, just pick one.

Well, canonically any Fox + Falco pairing is even less likely when you think of it. Fox's dabbles with Fara, and now Krystal, should confirm that, unless he is bisexual that is, something I find unlikely.

I'm not really interested in what the japanese fans do with Starfox. Sure, the games originate from the country, and there are many great artists from there as well.

But I've always been drawn to western culture in all things. Including Starfox. Fits much, much more to my preferances, not saying I think one part of the fandom is better than the other.

Now that I think of it, and checked trough the comic archieves stored on my computer, you're right.

Croakella... One thing one can't blame the guys behind SF for, and that's good, creative naming of the main characters.

Well, we all knew Slippy was male. It was his voice actor in 64, same who did Katt btw, whomade him the target of so many jokes, such as the VGcats you posted in another thread just recently. "What's it damn gender?"

Call me traditional, or is it old fashioned, but I went with Fox x Krystal, and James x Vixy.

I also did Andross x Vixy just because I was surprised that it was there, I haven't seen anyone mention that from the comics before.

Fox and Fara would be interesting.  Since I can't seem to find any of the page scans from the original comic, I'd like to see how they would develop Fara as a character.  (IF ANYONE CAN FIND THOSE PAGE SCANS, PM ME IMMEDIATELY!! Thanks :D)

Fox + Krystal... I really like it.

Maybe it is because both are foxes,

but it is kind of nice that she is, to Lylatians,

an 'alien'...

James + Vixy... Would like to know more

about James and Vixy.

Falco + Katt... Sure, old fans do not like it.

BUT, I find it interesting. I mean, he seems

interested in Katt, at least a little. In the Zoness

SF64 mission, after you complete it Falco would say

"Katt... Take care." or something like that.

If I could choose several more options, say, 3,

These would be:

I + Salaka <(my female fan character).

I + Krystal.

I + Katt.

:panther: HEY! Pestering females IS MY job!

DRL: Well, but these girls.... ewww....

Have you read the canonical manga "Farewell, Beloved Falco"? :3

Hah, I wasn't sure if anyone here would vote for the Star Wolf trio. XD

I briefly also considered adding "Wolf × himself", "Falco × himself", and possibly "Falco × Fox × Wolf" or even "Falco × Fox × Peppy", but I decided to keep combinations more than one character, and leave the triple combinations to those I'd seen portrayed repeatedly (rather than just once or twice).

I heard it was only released in Japanesse..

DRL: I only know English and Español, and you?

Salaka: Sorry, I only know English and Highlordian.

Deckér: I know English and Nanticiian.

Dr. Kradow: I know English, Polish, Kazak, Russian,

Soviet, Ucranian, and several alien languages...

                    but sorry, no Japanesse.

It was scanlated.  It's a very important part of the canon to read, as it was distributed with every copy of Star Fox Adventures in Japan.  (It takes place after Star Fox 64 and before Adventures.)

It reveals the true nature of Falco and Katt's relationship.
