"User"
Hey everyone, I was wondering, do you have any tips or tricks to prevent procrastination during homework, projects, reports, etc? Thanks, because I just can't seem to break this damned habit (as I am doing right now ) You remind me of myself when I was in college lol.I found its helpful to make a schedule or a plan and discipline yourself to stick to it. You can still have your "procrastination", just make sure your schoolwork is all finished up first

Zero Flare
I agree with User, haha. Try making a study timetable and reward yourself for every block of study. It feels great to be rewarded. Mind you, I can't say much... I've been planning on making a study schedule for about 3 years, hehe. Procrastination at its finest.

Sonia Mendoza
Make a schedule on when you'll do your homeworks and projects. Do the easy ones first, then concentrate on the harder ones after. Use all the sources you can get. Encyclopedias, dictionaries, almanacs, even the internet can be useful. A regular department store will have your basic project needs. Go into bookstores for homework and report sources. Plan ahead, don't waste time, and do your best.

ThePointingMan
I find the best plan is to sit down play some TF2, and "think" about doing my homework... Hasn't worked yet, but it will prevail!

If that's the case then you'll need to study the old fashioned way prior to the mid 90's when people actually had lives and it that fails...well, get someone to shut off your Internet although I'm sure you would never do that on your own accord

Guest DRL
DRL: What? Procastrination?! FIRE-THE-HYPER-CANNON!Liutenant: BUT COMMANDER! He only asked for tips...DRL: Oh, da** it!... Oh well, what I do is to improve my concentration. Try to play some slow games like Chess, or puzzle games if you like solo games... But Sonia seems to be better at styding that I do, so I will quote her:Make a schedule on when you'll do your homeworks and projects. Matrilwood
Taker a 30 minuet break every hour or as soon as you start to feel a bit unable to concentrate. Its the best thing you can do. Sabre
This is going to sounds really dumb, but it's very simple. Do stuff. Inactivity breeds lazyness. There's no need for timetables, just make sure you X amount of something a day, week ect.For time savings though, most of it is inbetween stuff. Transistions if you will. At that point working out where you can do stuff when in an area will help.
CrypticQuery
Big thanks to everyone, I was able to finish up a HORRIBLE science lab report, and study for some math exams! (With a healthy dosage of visiting SF-O in between )
Asper Sarnoff
Big thanks to everyone, I was able to finish up a HORRIBLE science lab report, and study for some math exams! (With a healthy dosage of visiting SF-O in between )This probably sounds very backwards, but I find it easier to get things done while I'm getting "sidetracked" with things I actually enjoy. When I wrote the 12 page analysis that I delivered today, I was also often on SF-O, DA, or other places on the internet. Instead of writing a a shot bit, getting bored, and the quality of the stuff dropping, I was always in good mood when I wrote it, and I'm willing to bet that as a result of that, this will receive top marks. And I'm usually right in my predictions about grades.
