I just got the latest issue of nintendo power and Other M was on the cover. Basically it had a page about the game, an interview with Yoshio Sakamoto, and a time-line showing all the games in story-based order. Apperently Other M takes place between Super Metroid and Metroid: Fusion.

Can't wait till it comes out. :D

You know..I was wondering if someone would make a topic about this game, and if no one did, I would have done it. XD

I am -highly- anticipating the release - so far this looks to be the best Metroid game yet, probably my favorite after Corruption.  the CGI just looks so realistic, it completely floors me.

I think I made a couple of topics about this, but they all died.

It seems to me that this game is more than just a side scroller. In the Japanese version of the gameplay trailer, it presented an over the shoulder perspective like Resident Evil 4, so while the camera does some sidescrolling style at certain points, this is going to be a full true 3D game. That has me excited.

check it, there are a few extra seconds of footage in the Japanese trailer.

I'm REALLY not a fan of autoaiming. I just don't get how they couldn't implement the nunchuck, a big mistake from nintendo since I heard team ninja wanted to go full  with the controllers. Nevertheless, it still looks impressive and it's a sure get for metroid fans. I'll wait for the reviews to see if I must get this on day one or whenever the price drops.

Prices ALWAYS drop sooner or later on games made in such numbers. It's not like they'll become collectors items anytime soon.

Yeah, very impressive visuals for Wii.

It's pretty awesome how they're redoing the Mother Brain fight in gorgeous 3-D.. but I gotta say, the 16-bit version of that battle is still a lot more intense.

Whoa. Nice find.

I'm REALLY not a fan of autoaiming.

The autoaim seems like it could get annoying fast. Apparently you just shoot the enemy closest to you and I've heard that switching to first person is slow and awkward.

No it's not, go look around at the games on the store shelves at like Wal-Mart or Target. The game always starts at 50 bucks, if the game does well, the price will  stay the same. (check out Twilight Princess, that game came out at launch and is still full price.) If the game doesn't do as well as expected, they will drop the price to make it more enticing to buy.

It's an economic tactic called supply and demand, it's used everywhere, especially with gasoline.

i know thats what happen with the conduit but if people wait until the price drops then nintendo would lose money.

I doubt that would happen, as there are billions of people in the world. I wouldn't think that enough people out of that number would just wait for the price to drop and cause Nintendo to lose money.

It would depend on how much the price dropped. I recall SMG 50 bucks when it was first released, I think its now 25 bucks.

I wanted to buy Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles but it was too expensive cause at first it was $50 then now its $40.

Sometimes if you wait long enough, Metroid other M might lower the price or have a used copy (I wouldn't recommend used copies even though some are cheap)

Matt..."inserts x10000 "

Price drops happen for a reason, it's not pirating. It's like with computers, whenever they start getting old, their price drop. For games, it's normally the same, would you expect a game that was released on the 2006, to be as expensive as a game released today? no.

I must admit, this is not really happening with some wii first party games, like for example, zelda or super mario galaxy 1, they are still priced on $50.

Seriously dude, go learn stuff before you post about things you really don't know.

Gotta agree on that, As I said earlier I didn't want RE: Darkside chronicles because it was $40.

I'm pretty sure just about almost all the Wii games are priced $50.

Xbox 360 games range from $40-$60

PS3... I really don't know
