DZComposer
As a compromise to help counter recent events, I have implemented the proposed mature subjects board. It is completely opt-in, and unless you are either a mod or in the access allowed group, you won't even see the board on the front page. Most of the homosexuality posts that have been popping-up lately will be moved in there.Mature subjects area rules:1. Don't be a douchebag.2. No porn. Keep it "Rated R" or under.3. What happens in the mature area stays in the mature area.4. If you don't like it, don't look at it.5. Anything that may be the least bit NSFW must be marked [NSFW].6. Lying about your age or violating the above rules will result in your mature access being revoked. To gain access:1. Make sure you are 18 or older, and have your birth date in your profile.2. PM Me or SteveEDIT:If you wish to leave the group, you can either PM an admin, or you can remove your self via your profile (Profile > Modify Profile > Group Membership, click "Leave Group" next to Can See mature)

DZComposer
why 18? im prety mature Because I don't want parents e-mailing me complaining that I let their kids see stuff they (the parents) don't like.
Sabre
why 18? im prety matureMaybe but you're still a fatty bum bum who smells of poo. Question. The 18 age requirement should be secret, else people will just fake their age on their profile.
"User"
Question. The 18 age requirement should be secret, else people will just fake their age on their profile. The 18+ age requirement I'm sure is to protect the site owners from potential liability. Even if other people fake their age and get in it's not the site owners fault legally since the COPA act was struck down as being unconstitutional. The site that I help administrator has a similar requirement when you register. Asper Sarnoff
So? My parants are no longer around can i still look?I can already answer that for you. No. Rules are to be followed. You're not 18 yet, and will have to stick to the other sections of the site till you get old enough. That's the way things work.

Steve
Alright, I'm going to make some declarations:First of all, yes, the freaking 18 years old rule will stay, as DZ said, we don't want angry parents, and we definitely don't want to break the law. I'm sorry, we won't be changing this.Second, don't go "awww you didn't make it to the forum? poor fella " because the mature forum is not some sort of luxury forum, it's just a place to discuss things in a more mature way, without randomess or barrel rolls out from nowhere.Third, people over 18 years old can get kicked out from the forum if they don't take things seriously.Fourth, Matt, a no means no, period. This will be the same for other kids and young teenagers that want to join, so don't feel bad about it.EDIT: I would like to point out that new members won't be allowed into the forum that fast, they need, at least, a minimum post count. Sabre
Indeed. It's not some exclusive club, plus theres the staff area where the mods can talk about us behind our back, but no one misses it. Currently there's not much their unless you are into gay stuff.
Guest DRL
I know, I know.I am not 18 yet, but I wouldlike to know...This 'mature area' treats othersubjects like politics/religion/ect.,or is it just a 'serious area' forSF discussion?
