You're getting tired of this Nintendo-Sony-Microsoft console war right?

So far it has been 10 years since the beginning of the console wars.

Maybe that is why all we ever see is Mario,Zelda,Metroid and Pokemon games cause they all are money makers for Nintendo but what Nintendo doesn't realize is how BAD the new games are. (Pomemon black is on the way along with Super Mario Galaxy 2, A Zelda title and Metroid other M. *barf*) This might also be the possibilty the reason why Star Fox,F-Zero and Pikmin games get left behind because ethier people keep demanding for Mario,Zelda,Metroid and Pokemon games or Nintendo doesn't feel like working on any of the forgotten franchises.

metroid/mario/zelda are nintendo big hits titles and are even some of the oldest. Starfox was the one that lost out on alot of money because nintendo change its gameplay to eariler. Now if they did something like metroid starfox might be here. There all 3 corpatrtions are just in it for money but nintendo is mostly in the gaming indursty then sony or micrsoft.

I miss Sega :(  Hehe, I wish Nintendo would go hardcore gamer again, I wish Sony would lower their prices, and I wish Microsoft just stayed out of it.

I like Nintendo, but I think their best work is in their older consoles...

I have to agree with you the wii sucks for a hard-core gamer  the ds isn't as bad but still bad.

I wouldn't say the Wii doesn't have hardcore games on it, but there aren't many. Sony is way too expensive, and I just don't buy Microsoft products.

It's just not a hard-core console at teh moment.

Sony uhh well I've only had a Ps1 so don't look at me

own 2 xbox 360's (one is presumably broken) and I have to say it's got alot more hard core games on it.

Most of you probably know Rare who used to make Banjo-Kazooie, Perfect dark, Conker, Goldeneye, Star Fox adventures and some Donkey Kong games.

I agree on Nintendo's best work is on older consoles, espeically games that are Nintendo/Rare made.

But then idiots at Microsoft HAD to ask Nintendo if it was okay to buy Rare and in return for Nintendo a crappy deal where Rare can only work with Nintendo if it is portable (I don't know about VC games). So Nintendo handed Rare over to Microsoft and there is when things start to go bad when Rare and Microsoft created their first game called Grabbed by the ghoulies. Then they did Conker: Live and Reloaded which is a crappy remake of Conkers bad fur day.

When Rare and Microsoft created Viva Pinata, this proved that Rare was starting to be more of a kiddie company than a company for everyone.

Microsoft doesn't realize what they're doing to Rare, it's about to crumble and go out of business. If Nintendo bought Rare before Microsoft did, we would've probably had more Star Fox, Conker, Jet Force Gemini and more games.

As for Sony...there was a reason why Nintendo thinks Sony is the target insted of Microsoft.

In think it was in 1993...

Sony announced a add-on for the SNES to I think use disks to play games or watch movies and they asked Nintendo if they could use the add-on, Nintendo said "No" for certain reasons which kinda upsetted Sony and later the add-on became the PS1 in 1994. The PS1 was selling well many years later and Nintendo started to develop a rivalship to Sony, so what console did Nintendo make to defeat Sony's PS1 and SEGA's Saturn? The N64!

If Nintendo accepted the SNES add-on from Sony, none of their rivalship would be here in the first place.

It is interesting why little things fuel

huge wars... If we speak of was using

blood and steel, then it is stupid; if we

speak of 'My-console-is-better' wars,

maybe it is not bad at all... Maybe I like it.

After all, without competition, these guys

gather togheter and... 'get lazy' - it happens

here.

AS of 2009:

Sony Has a revenue of Apx 80 Billion Dollars

Microsoft is picking up with a revenue of 58 billion with an operating income of 20 Billion

and Nintendo only has a revenue of 1 trillion yen which might sound a lot but converted to US currency only comes to 10 billion dollars.

It's been ten years since the console wars. It's obvious who has the money to expense on better things in gaming and who is on the squeeze.

Im only gonna tell you what I have heard from many GameStop Stores all over California. The Wii has the least amount of sales in their computer records than any other 7th generation video game console on the market. Why? they only put out 2-3 at a time over here in the LA country, and I go to every single one. Its because Nintendo is going with the supply and demand strategy, by limiting supplies for the consumers on the Wii consoles they don't have to worry about hurting themselves. Personally I don't know why they are pussy-footing in the market since they never did this before.  The only things that obviously doing well in their sales is the DS which I see more of my friends having than the Wii or PSP

The only two consoles doing better than Ninendo is Microsoft, Sony is catching up and has already surpassed sales over the Wii when they dropped to 300 dollars. Microsoft ideologically is doing better because they have a larger revenue in providing Windows Software and being the leading company in having more Windows operated PC's versus Unix based operating Systems, (and this is coming from a Linux guy).

If you want my personal opinion Game Play Wise: (since I have all three 7th generation Consoles)

I have more fun playing on my older Nintendo games than on the Wii, mainly because there is better games on the platforms, sure you have Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Other M and maybe 3 or 4 more good Wii titles before scraping at the bottom of the barrel and picking them out from the pile of dull flavored ones, but its best to say the Wii is nothing more than a slim down GameCube on Steroids with a remote and internet and an interest in motivating you to get in better shape and expanding the targeting audience by getting the parents to join in.

Playstation 3 is good even though it started out as a 600 dollar console which serves better as a George foreman grill with the ability to play blue ray games. Internet play is free and I can't complain with the results of the many variety of games on there.only downside is the aspect of staying consistent with their backwards compatibility which really blows for people who don't have the 60 GB version Like I do, otherwise their PS2 collection is useless on the PS3. I have hear they will expand their PS2 library on the PSn store for people to buy and play the most popular PS2 games emulated on the PS3 console.

The Xbox 360 is ok its been out longer than both. great games, great feel, great network concept, but flawed system for people who have the older XB models before Mircrosoft forces the manufacture from developing the games which would later on get the 3 rings of death, to reduce the lost of any more revenue. Only thing I can complain aside the console aspect would be the people you play online which could wind up having obnoxious jerks and people you would not like to confront in real life. Other than that it aint all bad.

out of all the 7th generation consoles that I have, the one that weighs on me the most, which I have played more than anything else would have to be the playstation 3 for its versatile functionality in web browsing, playing video files which I can port from my computer to the system, play blue ray disks and Playstation 1, 2, and 3 games. Sorry to disappoint the Nintendo fans out there.

but hey if it makes you feel better I prefer the DS more than I do on the PSP, which only furthermore proves why the DS is doing better than the Wii.

You can go an argue against my facts and critique on the systems I have played, but that's how I roll the dice.  Honestly if there was a Star Fox on the Wii I would put more weight on the Wii but since there isn't my verdict stands.

I can actually see the Console War coming to a partial close in the foreseeable future.

Look how many games now days are available on the Nintendo, Play-Station AND X-Box.

Of coarse most of X-Box doesn't seem to take the industry seriously. The console had serious stability issues and the only franchise that wasn't either; off the PlayStation directly, or let drift onto the other systems is Halo.

I don't know how many attacks I'll get after this.

But competition is good for everyone

Just look at wrestling, the WWF were being losing a rating battle to WCW in the 90s, then they came up with the Attuide Era and bought them out. But now its a kid-friendly show with celebrities who no nothing about wrestling adverdise there products on the show and a corprate champion who dosnt know how to wrestle (John Cena).

You might have just named all the hardcore games on the Wii  Also, Nintendo is also in it for the money, if they weren't they would've gone outta business a LONG time ago.  Oh, and some of the games you named were either on a different console first or multiplatform.

Not really, although there is a less chance for someone to buy a Wii, because nine times out of ten, the other console's ports are MILES better.  I still like Nintendo, but not as much anymore.  The only reason I still hang on to my Wii is that faint hope that there will be a new StarFox game.

The Wii can be a hard-core console. It's not the hardware that's the issue, but the games that come out on it. There's few very good mature games for it, but when you do get a good one, and for about the billionth time, I will bring up The Godfather: Blackhand Edition, it is an epic experience. The only thing I really feel the Wii is missing is an achievement system to stroke the e-peen. While the Wii may not have the greatest graphics (which doesn't bother me at all), it can have it's "mature" moments, such as when I knee capped a woman I didn't know in a bakery (I believe) with a snub nose revolver because the store owner wasn't willing to pay me protection money, so I had to set an example and show the guy that I meant business. Once he agreed to pay me my money, I drove to a bank and broke the necks of every security officer there, blew open the vault, blasted every cop that came to try and stop me with a Thompson, then got into a high speed chase with my mafia crew leaning out the windows opening fire on every cop and cop car that dared to get close to us. Once the heat died down, I went out and batted in the heads of a few rival family members, and took over their rackets.

Point being, that happened on the Wii, and while you could do the same in an Xbox or PS3 version of the game, you'd do it by hitting X or square, while as I actually swung my arm to bat people, and did the motions to snap necks. That raises the maturity level as it's not just watching it happen, but actually acting it out.
