Dermot
This poll investigates an old and always-controversial question in the Star Fox fandom. For obvious reasons, please keep comments as civil and respectful as humanly possible. In fact, try not to comment at all unless what you say is conciliatory and enlightening. In particular, respect the opinions of others, no matter how much those opinions may differ from your own.The underbrush is highly flammable - only you can prevent forum fires. Guest DRL
I say that we focus on her character, rather than her looks... (althrough youmay differ). To me, it is cool that she is as... 'unique'as she is. I mean, she is the only SF teammember than can actually use magic or somethingrelated to it, plus the addition of not-uberized psychpowers. But this is me. I can not say that I do not like how she looks - but hey, Slippy does not looklike a 'Really cool' guy and he IS. Even if he is nota skilled pilot, he is the one that made the Blue Marine, fixes the Arwing and Landmasters, after all. ...What I mean is that every member of SF has a 'specialtrait(s)'. While it may seem not that important to some, to meit is important to remember those traits, not simply the looks.Allthrough I have to admit that the looks do add a certainfeel of 'coolness', it is NOT everything - After all, just becauseyou look cool does not means that you can defeat Andross...You have to get in an Arwing and defeat him, the hard waypreferably. So my vote is strongly like. But, to clarify, I 'Strongly like'ALL SF characters... I said this somewhere else, I think.Maybe not in the same 'category' -but they do have their cool, yes.Pigma for example could be a fat**s and a greedy liar. But, to me, he is comical, and that is where he shines."Long time no sime, Peppy old pal!" his voice added to it.Andrew too, I see him as a comical character."Uncle Andross!" - The first time I heard those two Iwent LOL!, really. We never see James 'doing' something really cool,be it is that mistery surrounding him that 'makes him'cool...Just some examples. But that is me, after all.
evilwaffles
I voted for strongly like. She is my second favorite character after all. I don't like her to the point where I 'want' her or want to marry her. I like her for her character, not her design although I admit it is appealing. Asper Sarnoff
A bit between "Somewhat like", and neutral. I voted for "Somewhat like", because I think it's a tad closer to that.

Yes I focus on her Character the kindness the caring although her looks aren't that bad ,but i don't focus on that subject this is why I prefure Kursed she's not going to be seen as much as a sex icon. Strongly like she is my favorite sf character because dagnabbit she's the only female currently consistent with the series since adventures. Guest FoXXX
I bet you guys are just dying to see what I got to say I like her because she's unique and a bit of a mystery, also, she's Fox's girlfriend I also like her body :)
"User"
I like her because she's unique and a bit of a mystery, also, she's Fox's girlfriend I'd think you'd be jealous of that as opposing to liking her because of that fact. I also like her body Indeed As for myself I voted strongly like. She's the one that got me back into the series after a long hiatus which started around 2000 or so. I never ended up playing Adventures until around 2008 since I wasn't into Gamecube back then.Oh...and yeah, she's hot :P

Mr. Foxer
Really doesn't need a poll. Anyway Krystal's fine with me, might just be 'cause I'm a furry.

Scott7
Strongly like,She has good physical appearance but like Kursed and DRL i like her for her personality, a Pure soul which most people in our world don't have, and her mysterious backround. (which i don't care about as much as i used to since i have a feeling i already know it)But i worry the speculation surrounding her may be the cause of the absence of the series. after finding out of how much disgusting fan artwork of her is all over the internet it would only make sense that Nintendo wouldn't make another game! (especially with their new policy for keeping things "family appropriate" which makes me want drive my head through a concrete wall)But even if the series does crumble, i'll still see her and the rest of the team as my Childhood Heros

They didn't really create her. Rare did. Star Fox Adventures started as an unrelated Rare title, then retrofitted with the Star Fox license - the only real change Krystal underwent in the process was turning from a blue cat into a blue fox. Krystal proved popular in the Western markets, and stayed on board in the next two games. But she proved a divisive character. Immensely popular with new fans, she was received with far more division among the older fans and in the critical Japanese market. Nintendo writers didn't really know what to do with her, and they have been increasingly unkind to her. Depending on the path Star Fox Command takes, Krystal is treated well, or is cast out almost entirely. Unknown which (if any) of these endings will be canon. That's why I set up this poll. I'd noticed in the least popular character poll that (at that time) 9 out of 38 users had voted Krystal their least favorite character. I was curious exactly how these statistics unfolded in a deeper dimension of measurement (rather than mere stark extremes of most popular or least popular). So for all we know the next starfox could made for only the united states! XD

Violet/Purple in Dinosaur Planet. Also, I really think that thewhole 'divisonal' thing is ratherfoolish/stupid. I know, Dermot, that you and many others do notlike her, but that does not meansto me thaqt Krystal is the problem. To me, it was the fans lack of...Understanding towards each otherthat made such thing. Plus, there are TOO FEW Star Fox gamesto please everyone. What I meanis, there are lots of Mario games,spin-off and whatelse, but Star Foxha only 5 games, plus a leaked beta, which to say, it is not as much as theother series Nintendo has. Even Zeldahas more games, and we should pointout that it has been the same thingover and over again in most cases.Same happens to Pokemon, yet,it still has lots of games.Trouble is, that being so few games,it is easy to affect it's fanbase, whichto say, is not as large as the other ones. Dermot
Oh, just because the base is broken, doesn't mean there should be a holy war. :3 The camps must just coexist. Anyone should be allowed to like or disfavor a character without triggering an online backlash for that fact alone.

Rare was going to scrap her when they were refitting Dinosaur Planet, but Nintendo told them not to do it, and to make her a 19 year old fox instead. It seems to me Nintendo had at least some form of plan for her, but it remains to be seen whether that plan comes to complete fruition.
