Regarding last poll-boom...

This is, well, my apology regarding

the last poll-boom about

"What do you think about me?"

kind of threads.

It was a question that was bugging me,

seriously, althrough I should have knew

it would have stareted a poll-boom,

in short, if I had not started it would

have been avoided...

So please, to other SFO users,

DO NOT POST A LIKE/DISLIKE POLL ABOUT

YOURSELF UNLESS YOU HAVE BEEN

SOME TIME AROUND.

Why? Simply because if you have been

around a week or so (and I am considering

that you are quite active), it is unlikely

that most people around have a clear

attitude, or opinion, about you, thus no

matter what their answer is it can, and will

change as time goes on either for better or

worse... My suggestion is that you get +2500

posts first, be quite active, an THEN ask

such question...

Please note that activity/time must be quite

balanced as well. People will not get to know you

if you are very active during a week and then banish

for 3 months or so; nor will they if you post once in

a month.

I just made a poll like this since everyone else was doing it.

Also, doing it 'because everyone else is doing it'

does not means that people know you.

While technically the question does not violate

any of the rules, I asked it for a reason, not

because I saw others doing the same question.

(And to clarify I think that mine's was a

relatively special case. I had managed to lock,

during my time here, 3 topics, 2 of which were

locked in the past week, which led to the question

bugging me in the first place.)

Things like this make me wonder if I should disable polls.

Try not to be self-centered, and make sure your polls are for quantitative questions with few possible choices.
