Matrilwood
Super Mario Land - Level 1 first console game I ever owned (Handheld - whatever), it was for the Game-Boy Pocket, which is an extremely confusing name because it doesn't fit in your pocket. And since Super Mario Land has no title screen music this was the first thing I heard. Its amazing how far games have come since then.

"User"
I never owned an NES when I was younger but I remember playing the first level in Super Mario 2, the year was 1989. I also vaguely remember watching a Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers episode the same year....damn I'm old now heh
