StarFoxfan-FUR_ever
First of all, the all important link to explain everything.http://xxpitslittleangelxx.deviantart.com/journal/33369558/Basically, what's going on here is that your privacy over the internet may be taken away soon. Everything done on the computer will be tracked (only instead of how it technically is tracked now, it will come in as a live stream of information).I can't really give you a synopsis in a few lines so go to the link. Everything will be explained there.
Scott7
This is not good... at all... Its actually pisses me off. There wouldn't be a single mod left on the internet...

Sabre
*beep beep beep!My sceptisms alarm has gone off. I keep getting linked around in circles. Also I'm detecting lies and polatics.First off, Britain already has something like this. Nothing happened so far. The goverment claimed they would remove it if they got elected, so far, they have not.Having a web page open in the background does not spread awarness and increase google ranking, so -2 there. Also, your ISP tracks everything anyway, they just keep it secret. Some ISPs, including my current one, don't like this type of law as it costs customers. Also, international law tends to be poorly enforced anyway. "User"
I've been reading stuff like this for almost 10 years...it's just fear mongering. Sh*t like this would never fly.
Steve
This is kinda old news, it's going to be almost impossible to read what one billion of internet users do, think about it, a person must be infront of the computer to actually judge what we are all doing. Agencies like the FBI and CIA have filters that track the movement of suspicious agents, that's all they can do ( I'd assume so). And that's for a couple of pages, which are linked to terrorism and stuff like that, and as we know, there are a bunch of false alarms. If they were to track EVERYTHING EVERY user in the internet does, the false alarms would be HUGE. And still, countries like Brazil will still have the "we don't care about hacking, L0lz" , because they simply have no law in there for the internet. Piracy will still exist. You need the support of the whole world to get rid of piracy over the internet.Anyways, my point still remains, one billion of users, nuff said, you can't watch them all, even if you record, it's going to take a lot of man-years to, let's say, review every movement of every user in the internet from...wow, one day? ....and yeah, like sabre said, the ISPs already save a log on what people browse, they just don't have the resources to sit and read. StarFoxfan-FUR_ever
Still though, for some reason I have this feeling that tells me that they know how to deal with those issues. Think about it, NOT everyone in the world is on the internet on the same time. Somehow, I feel it can be done. Maybe I'm just scared...UGH!!! I just got flashbacks from reading that book "1984". If it ever comes to that......free will is most certainly lost....Now im really scared.

Steve
What about China? I thought they were trying to control the net too. I heard they could even block access to pages. They better not try something like that here....In China, most of the ISPs block almost 90% of the internet, due to the government not liking most of the Internet and how much "freedom" it has . They have no regulations about piracy, however, with all the stuff they block, let's say, it's kinda pointless.

And at one time they blocked access to the KLA (I think they still do lol) Anyone who's not completely dumb when it comes to computers can find ways around that. The "Great Firewall of China" is pretty pathetic if you know what you are doing. Also, people need to not believe everything the media tells them. >_>

Not to say, it's bad for business Don't be scared, ISPs have logs already, unless you get one of those bored technicians to look at what you are doing, you are fine. "User"
Yeah but that doesn't mean they can't control were we speak. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_censorship_in_the_People%27s_Republic_of_ChinaIt's extremely difficult for the PRC to maintain censorship when it comes to the Internet, and over the last few years it's gotten more and more difficult and the population and companies there becoming more and more capitalist. You have a rising middle class there who will be less and less tolerance of the government and will want more freedom. I expect the government to have more problems as the years go on. However, if you think about it while China is a communist country some amazing examples of capitalism are becoming more and more prominent. Really, Socialism and Communism, in the end, does NOT work. (ex. USSR)
