MINECRAFT

This game as consumed my life. Diggan. Buildan. Getting raped by incredibly OP enemies. Diggan s'more. Buildan s'more. SO ADDICTING.

For those of you who don't know, Minecraft is an independent sandbox game where you are thrown into the wilderness with no objectives to complete other than whatever the hell you want to do. You gather materials from the earth (wood, dirt, stone, iron, ect), and use it to build anything from wepons, to houses, to intricate railway systems, to sheds in the dirt. All the while, you will discover caves and tunnels in the world, where you can delve deeper and deeper into, the only limitation being your RAW DETERMINATION (or admintium if you somehow hit it). During the day. peaceable animals roam that you make use of for food, clothing and weapons. At night, monsters and undead wander around, with only one goal in mind: to fvcking kill you (and wreck your shit too).

So yeah, anyone here play? My current 1P game has spawned me on an island archepeligo, and so far I've purged the surface of 2 islands with torches, planted copious amounts of trees, and cleaned out 3 caves and working on a forth.

Sounds like just the sort of game I'd love and hate.

How much is it?

I tired to get into it a few times I don't like it a lot. But my friend downloaded the game in June I think probably earlier but the point is that's all he's done since he got it.

Minecraft Classic is free.

Minecraft Alpha/SMP is not. What you described in your first post is Alpha/SMP. Keep in mind, SMP is verry buggy and some features do not work.

I love minecraft, I am an admin on 2 servers I play on, both owned by my friend.

I got this today, been playing it. It's fun for a sandbox game and great for something to keep your hands busy listening to a podcast.

Also, check this out. A guy built a working computer instide a game. Next step is to get minecraft running inside minecraft, and then the world with explode, pigs will grow wings ect.

Got the game, and it is fun. Even made my own skin for it, and it looks like crap, but I don't care.

Robert what did you do? Now people are going to get addicted to this game, and there is nothing that can save them!

Well, if it serves anything, I won't pay for an o'line game,

so I'll not get addicted to it...

It's free. (Well sort of, my friend bought an upgrade or something for it.)

Heard of it, but if it's online:

No thanx.

If it's offline: could try. Not sure.

I'm not that big of a  sandboxer.

It has online features but can be played offline. It has a 1P and multiplayer experience. It doesn't have a subscription service if thats what you meant.

Saw this earlier today. MIND WAS BLOWN.

I'm well aware of that.

I merely spoke the truth.

One time purchase of 13 dollars while still in alpha. Will be 26 when it hits beta. There is a free version, but its watered down and doesn't have all the stuff.

13 bucks is cheap as hell for a game of this quality.
