Zzz
Sup guys, you know the real boss on Corneria, the Attack Carrier, right?Do you have any clue what species its captain is? Seriously, is he a lizard or a monkey with a weird mask on? Also, is there any drawn or high-poly concept art for SF64?
DZComposer
There was some higher-poly art for SF64, but not much. A couple of pics of each of the SF team members was about it.Maybe SF643D will shed some light on your question. As far as I can tell, he looks reptilian. The Shaper
He looks like a alligator or a crocodile to me.
Zzz
Wait a sex, guys! Wasn't the same boss in the original Starfox game? It might be possible that the captain was also given a description.
Vulvokunvrii
i think he's a lizard; Andross did have lizard troops in one o the comic books ya know -_^
Robert Monroe
Yeah, he's most certainly a long snouted reptile of ome kind. Likely crocodile or iguana, ala the SNES comic, because he was basically a big fat SNES easter egg.
ThePointingMan
Well, the flyer of the original attack carrier, on the snes would have been a lizard, so I guess they just carried it over like dat.Oh would you look at dat, exactly what the above poster said, and the one above him. Asper Sarnoff
Nice drawing R3dFiVe. Should be pretty clear to those who know their SF who this guy is.Though, if you look at the SF64 icon, it looks like he's got sort of a "beak", a triangle that points downwards with the nostrils on the side. This doesn't look to far of what another Nintendo reptile, namely Bowser, have.
Zzz
Thanks.Yeah, now that you mention it, it really DOES look like a beak The overall shape and color confused the crap outta me. Also havin no pupils made him look like he wore a helmet of some sort...From what I can see on the SF64 screens for the 3DS the characters are only given a slightly higher polygon count and higher res textures. Chances are we're not gonna see this guy in a different angle.

If you're going to draw him as closely resembling what little one can spot as possible, you'd probably be best going for what you allready have, with the upper jaw resembling something like seen here, albeit less "chunky".Keep in mind though. It's in cases like this that artistic liberty is one's best friend. The drawing you've allready made would be excellent for representing this character. Robert Monroe
Personally I like the drawing more.
Zzz
Ah, well I can't see how I can make him look good with Bowser's jaw right now. Prolly going to stick with my version when drawing him in the future...
DoctorAllosaurus
i think he's a lizard; Andross did have lizard troops in one o the comic books ya know -_^I think he had lizardy/amphibian pilots in the SNES game too. Very rarely will you see them, but they do eject from their ships when you destroy them.
Zzz
How could you even identify little polygons as organic life-forms?

DoctorAllosaurus
How could you even identify little polygons as organic life-forms?Easy, they weren't polygons, they were sprites. I've been trying to find a picture or a sprite sheet that has it, but nobody seems to have one it seems.
