Similarities between Krystal and Cynder

I notice that Krystal shares quite a number of similarities with Cynder from the Spyro series.

Note: By appearance I'm referring to the game that they appear, first appearance is their first game, second appearance is their second game.

Both of them are the main character's love interest, both of them became said love interest in their second ever appearance. Both of them first appeared in a game that was very different to the rest of the series, both of them were saved from a crystal by the protagonist, both of them have been trapped inside a crystal, both of them first met the protagonist just before the final boss-fight, both of them leave the protagonist in their second appearance, both of them have worked for the villain. Both of them have unstable color schemes between appearances (Krystal's eyes change color, and in LoS3 Cynder is more purple than Spyro the Purple dragon). Both of them fly, both of them shoot fire-balls, both of them have a bad-ass attitude.

The only differences I can think of are (That don't correlate to the setting); Cynder tried to kill the protagonist, Spyro didn't fall in love with Cynder on first meeting (Because of the latter and she was 10 times his size at the time) and Krystal hasn't said "I love you" to Fox (As far as I know)

All I can say is it can't possibly be coincidence that all these things are common to both Krystal and Cynder.

Any ideas, or other thing's you've noticed?

Few things. I know almost nothing about Cynder, so I'm only focusing on Krystal.

both of them became said love interest in their second ever appearance.

Nope. Assault was the LEAST telling of Fox and Krystal's relationship. Fox openly comments on her physical beauty in adventures, sorta bumbles around the issue in Assault, and it's not until Command that we learned they were together. For a brief period of time that ended on Command's start.

both of them leave the protagonist in their second appearance

Krystal's case would be third appearance. It's Command she leaves in, not Assault.

both of them have worked for the villain.

When? Starwolf doesn't count as a villain, by the way, and if they do then I suppose the entire protagonist cast has worked with them.

Both of them fly, both of them shoot fire-balls,

Well... does this count since Krystal has to use tools?

both of them have a bad-ass attitude.

Uhhhhh I SHOULD just leave this one alone, but not really. Again I dunno about Cynder, but Krystal's done a whole lot of nothing except (attempt to) negotiate with a tyrant much bigger and thicker skinned than her with her fists (Which WOULD be manly if, you know, it wasn't totally stupid.) sit all game in prison, than spend the next two generally just... being there and getting pissy at things (the first time of which, Sauria in Assault, indirectly causes Corneria to suffer near irreversible damage. Good job dragging the only chance Corneria has across the galaxy on a whim, Krystal.) Not really badass so much as she is impulsive and hasty.
