Alter Ego

A simple time-killing game I found awhile back.

http://www.playalterego.com/alterego

The game is all about you and how you live your life, making decisions that will make or break you as you grow up.

Apparently it was made for DOS and the like back in '86. So this online version might seem a bit 'dated' with some of the topics it touches on. I still found it mildly entertaining.

I'm still poking around on the early parts. Maybe when I finish I'll share my alter ego's life story. :P

:D On the page after you are born, it mentions that I develop and allergy for milk. I'm lactose intolerant, so I thought it was funny.

This game sucks. I got to childhood and then I was kidnapped, tortured and eventually killed. Totally bogus.

Pretty interesting concept, although all the right choices are obvious and boring. I died by trying to make it a bit more fun. Maybe it gets better once you get older?

Well if you really wanted to, you could of had a nice encounter with a couple kitchen cleaning solvents a little while sooner. :P

Also, I think the 'obviousness' one come from the ones that have a more immediate life/death consequences. I think some of the other ones boil down to how much of a prick you want to be to yourself/others.

And I did say it's a bit dated and most certainly biased to some extent.

Yeah, it's cool. But definitely not something I'd be willing to sit down and go the distance with. And yeah, I passed that part. It basically tells you "Good job not eating cleaner! You get to live."

It was a good 2 hours life reflecting experience. I had a good life until one of my parents died, then everything else went down a pipe. I couldn't get married, twice, got depressed, couldn't get a better job, etc.

Feels bad man.

I got a pretty similar deal on my run through. Though by a stroke of dumb luck through some random event I made this awesome recipe and then sold it for a half-million to a fast food chain. O.o

I had this exact event happen in my first run. xD I was making my living off of dumb luck and random things I sold. I never got a job. :3
