Tailsz Posted July 27, 2011 Author Share Posted July 27, 2011 For a celebration of my 100th post, we have updates!The beta menu now has the game information optionPlanet alignments have been mapped (theoretically)Split a few things in the Game Information, added a "Press ESC to return to the main menu"Theoretical designs of the enemy shipsMapped out basic music for all planetsTheoretically mapped out the objectives of the first mapTheoretically mapped the first mapCode fixes- removing long code which could be done in simpler stepsAdded scripts to make my life easier.Changed the background and font for Game Information from black and white to a light easy-on-the-eyes yellow and black font.Formatted the Game Information to fit the game window Theoretically = It's on paper (Quite literally) Oh, and the old Old Spice Guy for the win. It was kind of confusing since I did not know what the buttons were. Maybing adding something in the menu will help. Also the keyboard scheme is a little diffrent. Maybe Masking them to the WASD keys would be more beneficial but that is up to you The only bug I encountered was in the On-Rails mode, when I went full boost and then let it off for some reason the arwing began to boost off of the screen. Three pages til this happened, hahaha. On rails isn't a long map. It's about 640x4800 screen. (Which isn't very long considering how fast the Arwing goes) But if it's a different bug please do make a video. Oh, I can add an option that changes the keys if you desire. Default is the arrow keys. However it would be slightly uncomfortable to use ZXCV though... So I'd have to move that. Also, you reminded me- I forgot to add the controls stuff! OOPS! Tailsz Posted July 27, 2011 Author Share Posted July 27, 2011 I did add the new [0.0.3:U1] (Update 1) to the front page. However, I've been having bugs with editing any post that has an image in it. Random spaces appear everywhere and I have to continuously remove the extra lines so it's no spaced out so far. The planets will be static for now. Obviously the only real playable level is going to be Meteo since I'll have to plan out planet enviroments later... With the exception of Fichina- really the only thing there is snow and the weather control center. Fortuna is going to be a bitch. I can just feel it. I'm going to add rotation effects later but now is not really a priority. Although at first glance I highly doubt anyone would think it's Corneria. It's loosely based on the Corneria from the SF map. I have also turned off the fancy editor and I found a lot of stacks of: [center][center][/center] [/center] and [left][left][/left] [/left] in places that magically show up every time I edit a post with multiple pictures in it. I got to hear some of the most funniest stories ever about my aunts and mom. Oh the poor things they put my Nonna through! Like playing tag on the roof of a two story house! Hahahaha! Oh by the way, who ever stops the chain say "C-c-c-c-c-c-c-combo Breaker!" So, lets recap on the previous screenshot of the map area: As you can see it's kinda bland and squished so after a few modifications to the current planets designs and positioning, I added a few other pieces to the map: Well... Except Meteor from the original Star Fox, it looks a LOT like Star Fox 64! It was unintentional too. (This is only 35% of the map) As you can see, we have Solar, Meteor, Sector Y, Corneria, Meteo, Fichina, Sector X and Sector Z (After a lot of colour changes, I've settled on this for Sector Z) Meteor and Fichina have a transparent layer on top of them. Meteor has a subtle dark grey layer while Fichina has a very bright light blue layer to give it that snow effect. The sectors have a basic glow effect as does Solar. Meteo and Corneria really are the only ones that don't have a special effect on it. (Gradient doesn't count) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Well sort of anyways, to pin a note to the door stating "Next time your dogs are outside barking from 12:35 am to 6:15 am, we will have the law enforced" not exactly like the original note, but underlines the basic key components: Dogs, Outside, Sleeping people hours, Law enforcement. Since I have the inconvenient of owning a dog the instigates the older, more responsible dog I might add, into barking I can't really stop it without yelling "GET BACK IN THE HOUSE". I can't do it quietly since it wouldn't be in a very demanding tone since they take "Psst! Get inside!" as "Go! Bark loudly and viciously at the howling winds, that'll show them whose boss!" I personally blame myself... But I was like 5-6 years old when I got Zack. Since I was only with my Mom through my early years, we weren't too keen on discipline. The worst we'd do is say "Bad boy!" with no substance behind it. Then again he didn't bark at air. He was quiet til we brought the rat home. By rat, I don't mean rodents, I mean small little "Pocket dogs" like Yorkie and Chihuahua that suffer from the worst thing known to man: Small Dog Syndrome. (Me and my Step Father often call it something else. I guess you all know where I'm getting at with this) Just going to say I did try to train her. That didn't go very well because my mom (in a sense) bribed them to shut up by giving them treats. Going to stop there. Although, I can safely say I like my cats. I'm at 3 so far, 2 we bought off from a friend when they were born, and a stray we found at my Mom's old workplace. The stray is the dog I never had- it fetches, follows me, and takes my left shoe. I love her to bits. She also likes to try the food I eat... That all being said, I'm officially never going to own a small dog ever again. Big dogs or we're getting cats. xD Oh I was also gone for two nights, which is when the barking started happening... The dogs let loose when no ones around the house. >_< I don't have any updates on the game. I'm looking over the house this week by myself so my friend stayed over for Sunday and most of Monday. I left the house at 11pm at night on Monday and arrived at 7:30 this (Wednesday) morning. The house is still the same. Nothing missing. Locked it up pretty tight. Oh and can anyone say Septuple post?
