This is my blog.

Just assume that I'll only yap about my perpetually in progress fanfics on this thread.

I like your MM fanfic. I'm a huge, huge Zelda fangirl, and I can read your fanfic and enjoy it all the same. You're a decent writer. You should consider RPing here. There are some other decent writers here, including myself.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll be trying to get some more of it done as soon as I push out of a little writer's block. I didn't get much writing done when my computer was down for a couple weeks. I guess I could have written stuff down on a notebook, but I was too lazy to write with anything besides a keyboard

And yeah, I love roleplaying. I made a couple proboards sites all about rp a while back, and have been a mod for a couple others. Expect me to be a regular around that corner of the site as soon as I'm 100% sure that I won't screw up with the rules put in place there, lol. I'm also thinking about making a thread of an Inception RP, I'll get to making the request so long as I have ideas on how to make it work easily. I'll have to watch the movie another time or two to be figure out everything that's going on XD

Well if you need any help, Asper can give you advice, as can I, I guess. You would be great here. I want to start a medieval/Zelda/Dragon Age RP at some point.

I made myself a character sheet, now I'll just lurk around the RP sections and see if anything interests me. I guess I'll be seeing you around there soon :)

I don't really know anything about Dragon Age, but I'd probably like to join if my knowledge of Zelda will be good enough to wrap my head around the idea of the rp. I don't think I'll use my character Samson for it though, even if I changed his history so that it'll transfer from Starfox to yours. I play as a Goron on some other sites, so I could easily bring him over for your idea, if you get it together. Now that I'm done with my RP character thread at the moment, I'm gonna see if I can get to working on Duck and Cover

Sorry for being gone from here for a long while, I've spent all my time tending to an RP forum that I've been slacking off on far too much, and I need to clean up my reputation and be active here. Once I'm better settled in there I'll return to whatever I've been doing here. Unfortunately that's also sapped out most of my fanfic writing time, so I don't have anything to show for any of the stories I've posted. While I'm here I might as well mention some things that have happened to me recently.

Most importantly, I'll have to say that I've finally gotten around to watching My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic... and I think I completely understand now  why it's sweeping forums everywhere. I think I might have become one of those people now XD I'm still not going to use ponies as my avatars or anything, though

Let's see, I also saw the new Harry Potter movie, it was a lot greater than I expected it to be. I watched it at 10 PM on the (technically) first night. Since it went on past midnight, I think that means I can legitimately saw that I saw it on the first, and second night, while only seeing it one time. I was that I didn't even come up with one sarcastic comment during the whole thing, I guess I was just so engrossed by it that I didn't want to do anything but pay attention. I think there were only like one or two minutes that I was bored during the whole thing.

I've also gotten around to watching V for Vendetta, since I've started reading the graphic novel not too long ago. The movie's good and all, but I'm a little disappointed that changes were made to give it a more modern political setup. I also hate that Norsefire was too obviously evil in the adaptation, I liked it when I couldn't tell which side was more corrupt when reading it. For the most part, the movie was still worth the ten bucks that I spent on the Blue Ray at least.

I hope I'll be able to get to posting back here soon <3

Alright, it's been a bit too long since I've hung around this site last, but I certainly haven't forgotten about it. I dunno, maybe it was school that made me less eager to come here, but meh. I was never really that big of a forum goer anyway, except for a few places like writing and roleplaying. Both of which are hard for me to stick with for prolonged periods though, which is why I can't really stay in a large rp that's the focus of the forum, since I'll be working within the same ideas daily. That's why I juggle too many fanfics at a time and never get enough done yet :/

I'm mostly here to post one of my pokemon fanfics, but while I'm doing that I'll probably be drifting around the rest of the forum too. My Starfox one, What Comes Natural, will be on hiatus for now, but I'm still working on another Starfox fic that's in the same continuity as that, which will be a prequel. I'll probably post some progress on that here as well. Then for my Zelda one, Duck and Cover, has been on hiatus too, but recently my interest in it has sparked again, there's still plenty of ideas to salvage from it and keep it going.

I doubt I'll ever really be that active around a forum, but when I am here I'll always be happy to be around you guys :)

Heya, it's me again. You know, that guy you don't remember. Yadda yadda, I'll mention how I haven't been on in a while, then I'll get to business. With summer coming up I'll probably have plenty of time to waste in here. Fanfic progress is still dragging, but I've got the first 7k of a prequel to Starfox 64. I'll post a piece of that every so often whenever I fix a scene that really needs a glob of polish. I just realized how gratingly stereotypical this biker gang is, (the Hot Rodders, which I'm sure will ring a bell) so I want to flesh them out a little bit more. Otherwise I'd say I did a fairly good job with it, one of the scenes aren't quite as sappy as they could've been.

As far as the MM fic goes, I think I'm going to have to scrap it. I really like the opening scene with the nightmare at the fairy fountain, but the end I was planning on couldn't fit well into the continuity of any other hypothetical zelda fics I would make. Since it's an alternate timeline where he gets entangled in the Terminia situation before he gained courage through his adventures in Hyrule, he would have not had the skill to stop the moon. He would have survived the appocalypse when Tatl sacrificed herself to protect him with some sort of magic barrier, and end up alone in the new wasteland. Harsh, but he also would've had a vision later on from the seven sages that explains how Hyrule never got conquered by Ganondorf since he couldn't obtain the triforce of courage, so that breaks the chain reaction of Ganon ressurections throughout the series. I suppose it had a few decent ideas in it, so I'm pondering over making a spiritual successor to the fic that's simply about how Link from the normal timeline handles reliving the worst three days in Terminia's history over and over again. I'll just have to see if that idea takes hold.

So, well, I wouldn't really expect hearing me say anything else in this thread that didn't have anything to do with unpublished fanfics :?

Glad that you're making a return, though I can't seem to recall your screename. In any case, here's to hoping that your projects come to fruition. :P

Welp, it's officially summertime for me now. That means I'll get to have plenty of time to screw around, I'll get back to working on my starfox fic sometime soon. For the past day or two I've been working on my animation skills in flash though, so I'll have to balance my writing-animating time a bit. It's going to be a zelda video based on some things I wrote back in '07, I'm aiming for it to be as faithful to the original source as possible. Today I've been making backgrounds some of the scenes by taking snapshots in Ocarina of Time. I put filters into the pictures to make them look more cartoony, I think I heard that's how Fredryk handles that. Here's some examples that might be used.

I also rendered a good deal of the first segment, which shows a map of Hyrule getting drawn out. I had to experiment to make a drawing effect that I like, so I'm hoping it worked well enough. The source I'm basing it on implied that Ikana from Majora's Mask was a bordering territory, though now I'm aware of the generally accepted parallel dimension theory between Hyrule and Termina. But as I said, I want to follow what I wrote word by word, so I doodled a bit of a dimensional rift in the middle of the map. I made them both into gifs, they're a tad bit size-intensive, so I'll be compressing them better in their final form once I have more experience.

I recorded myself narrating the story, which ended up lasting seven minutes. (My voice definitely won't be in the final cut or anything, I'd probably only be able to handle a few types of cartoonish characters. This project's intended to be more along the lines of a war documentary) I certainly know seven minutes are already a hefty load, so for now I'm only trying to make an animatic. (animated storyboard) Even that will probably take a solid month or two, I can barely even zoom in on scenes at the moment DX

And also, I went to my cousin's high school graduation yesterday. I think that's the first time I gave a real smile to the camera in years XD

Those eight frames took me all day to make. Animation sure is fun, but I better be willing to pull out all-nighters to get anything done. It's a bit too choppy, but there's room to shove in a few extra frames in between to even it out. Still a helluva lot smoother than my first animation attempt, in any case. (Trying to remember why I drew out that bunny/cat thing's gun spazzing out like that . . .)

And here's a quote that goes with this scene:

"The dictator hated Gerudo Valley, for he absolutely hated the Gerudos. He declared war on Gerudo Valley."

Oh boy, I was certainly a little Shakespeare in '07, when I wrote the story I'm basing this on. But yeah, speaking of writing, I still haven't done much new in Five Stages of Grief, but tending to it will still be a fairly big priority. I have one scene finished of the new chapter, but I'd much rather be at least a little bit ahead when I'm posting my work. But nyeh, that's all I've got for tonight.

Started the day waking up at about 9:00, which is embarrassingly early for me, I'm trying to be a bit better about my amount of sleep over the summer. Trying to go to bed earlier too, last night I went at 12 o'clock (still embarrassingly late, in this case) and I had to read a meaty dose of 2001 and Going Postal (from Terry Pratchett's Discworld series) to knock me out for the night. I had to be out of town all afternoon and missed the start of E3. On the way home my car broke down probably less than a mile away from the house, had to coast down the hills all the way back. (Yeah, I guess living out in the hilly country has its perks) I guess this way's a bit funnier than breaking down an hour away from home, at least. I got a collection of ten Frank Sinatra movies out of the trip at least, all for just thirty bucks. Haven't heard of a single movie that was in the collection, but hey, it's a bunch of Frank Sinatra movies. They must be kinda good

From what I've heard it didn't sound like I missed that much in E3 today, the only thing I'm really interested in is the 3DS's Paper Mario game. Eh, maybe the WiiU will convince me to buy it later in its lifespan. I've got to admit it has an impressively large launch title lineup, at least.

Also, bleh. I haven't done anything productive for the past few days, I was on a pretty good roll for the first week of summer. I did a bit of research on aircraft engines, I need to polish up on my techno babble skills. That's the closest to anything useful I've really done lately, I think. We'll just have to see how I get around to returning to my projects.
