Xortberg
Well. Ho-lee shit. I just had pretty much the two coolest days of my life. Why is that, you ask? Simple. Do the names Anthony Rapp, Darlene Love, Julia Murney and Matt Dengler mean anything to any of you? To those who don't know and are too lazy to look it up, Anthony Rapp (squeeee!) is most well known for starring in the original Broadway showing of Rent, as well as in the movie. Darlene is a recent inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Julia Merney played Elphaba in Wicked, and Matt Denlger... is fairly new, actually. I don't know much about him at all, other than that he's also a Broadway star. What do all these people have to do with lowly old Xort? Well, thanks to my absolutely amazing sister, who just so happened to find out that I fucking LOVE Rent and who also just so happened to be working at a show these four people were starring in, I got to join her helping out backstage and hanging out with those four people I mentioned. I was backstage eating potato chips with Anthony Fucking Rapp. I was Darlene Love's personal inventory screen during the show, when she would take breaks between songs and hand me her mic for safekeeping. OH MY GOD IT WAS AWESOME. And not only were the stars all totally cool, the backstage workers were crazy cool people, and one of them happens to work at another theatre that he and my sister are both pretty well liked at, so they're going to help me get a job there. FUCK. YES. Xort's moving up in the world, folks. Today is a good day.

Milkyway64
When I look at Xort, I don't often think "That dude will work at a theatre." Life man. Plot twists all up in this bitch.
Xortberg
I know right. It's awesome though. At the cost of having to help set it all up and take it down once we're done, I'll actually be getting paid to watch shows. It's a freaking sweet job. Xortberg
This is very good. Anthony Fucking Rapp, man. Eating potato chips and chatting with the guy who played Mark Cohen. It was amazing. Fanboyism aside, the whole experience was great, and I'm pretty sure I'll get the job and I'm pretty sure I'll be damn happy with it.

kkstarfox
Ah, when i used to do stage... Yes the back stage crew is usually awesome! I only worked back stage a few times, I spent the majority of my time helping to build sets though. Never met anybody famous doing it though. So congratulations! Have fun mate! Xortberg
To balance my happiness, I get a little bit of bullshit. Bought Rift to play with Fluxy, and since it comes with 30 free days, I'm totally happy. Turns out, I also need to subscribe for a payment method. I could use a prepaid time card, but I didn't buy one and I want to save my remaining 40 bucks for art supplies and possibly a cheap ass MP3 player. I also don't even have a credit card that I can use to choose a payment method with, so I suppose I'ma just have to wait until I get some more money or something. Xortberg
Today's my birthday, and it's already off to a good start with the most wonderful, adorable, socks-wearing present I've ever received. Yay for Redeemer! She also has officially convinced me to buy a tablet of my own, which I will do as soon as I get a chance to. I've got $140 or so, I assume that's enough for one? In other news, I ran out of time on WoW some time ago and have been trying to fill my MMO time with something else ever since. It was difficult, but I think I've found my replacement: Dragon Nest. Free to play with an actually well-implemented cash shop, an awesome Fire Emblem 8-esque class system, and best of all, it's an action MMO. Any attack that comes your way can be dodged, unlike games like WoW and Rift where it all comes down to numbers and chance. This game is hella cool and crazy fun. Unfortunately, NA is slow in getting it - our current level cap is 24, compared to 50 or so over in China and such. Just got out of our Open Beta. Still, I have high hopes for it. I'll soon be moving in with my sister for a few months, and I'm actually unsure of whether or not she has Internet, so I may or may not become much more sporadic in the near future. I'll be working, though, so that'll be nice. And this house is only a little ways away, so I can check in at least once a week I'm sure. So yeah, life's pretty good at the moment. Tailsz
Fire Emblem 8-esqued? I'm curious now! Happy Birthday Xort! May your wishes come true!
Xortberg
It's similar in the sense that once you hit a certain level (15 in this case) you can choose from branching class paths depending on what you want to do. I like it a lot. And thanks for the birthday wishes :)
Redeemer
Happy birthday again! I'm glad you liked my present. The tablet I use is a Bamboo Pen, I got it for $60 brand new. Here's a link for you, ask someone you know to get it for you, since I know you don't have paypal. http://cgi.ebay.com/...=item43a424b2b3
Xortberg
Radical. That leaves me seventy bucks to buy a mouse, earphones, and as much pony merchandise as I can find :D
