Deploy
Solatorobo: Red the Hunter is an awesome-looking action-RPG DS game coming on Sept. 27. It's being developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Xseed Games. (Published by Nintendo in Europe). The game looks like a lot of fun, and so far what I've seen looks very impressive. The soundtrack is awesome, and the characters and design looks great. The anime cut scenes are incredible and are done by the people behind Death Note. I hope that people don't look over this game and give it a chance. It's been getting great reviews and gamers have been saying it's awesome. It's a breath of fresh air in a gaming market flooded with gray and brown shooters. It's also a good game to check out during this drought of good 3DS games until Super Mario 3D Land and such comes. In the end, it just looks awesome. Can't wait to get it. Here's the description of the game from Amazon- "Red Savarin, an eager and ambitious 17 year-old anthropomorphic dog, ventures through the mythical floating islands of the Shepherd Republic where specialized robots are commonplace, living a carefree life traveling with his younger sister, Chocolat, and utilizing his personalized robot, DAHAK, to complete various odd jobs for money. While on a routine retrieval mission, they have a chance encounter with a mysterious boy named Elh and find a medallion that inadvertently entangles Red in something much more than he bargained for. Having taken Elh under his care, Red investigates the mystery surrounding the young boy and the strange object as he takes on monsters, sky pirates and evil robots on his road to becoming the reluctant hero that must save the world from a swiftly awakening evil." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-diwBOEJkg

Fluxy
I have known about this, and the japaneese only releases for quite some time, reading into them, watching videos and all. All I can say from everything though is that I'll be looking into getting this for sure; No doubt about it.
Deploy
I do plan on taking a break from Cartoon Toonsdays Reviews one week when I buy and complete Solatorobo, so I can review that instead. :D
Star Fox Runner
I actually thought about making a topic about this game myself, but I never got around to it. I've been following this for a while, and I've actually gone ahead and pre-ordered it. Apart from it appealing to my furry side, the game just looks all around great! Another reason I want it is because for me it hearkens back to the old games like Banjo Kazooie and Tail Concerto. (which this game is actually a sequel to of sorts) I mean, you just don't see games like this anymore where it's very carefree and light. Everything now just seems to be dark, gory, blood soaked shooters or hack 'em ups. For me it's a breath of fresh air when it comes to games, and I'll be grabbing it on day one. The soundtrack for first print buyers is also a nice plus.
Deploy
I'll certainly have to pre-order it for that soundtrack then. Amazon! I should have money for this game when my b-day comes and goes. :)
Star Fox Runner
You don't even have to pre order it, XSeed is shipping it with all of the first printings of the game. I just pre-ordered it for good measure! :P
Deploy
I see. Makes sense to me. Xseed is too nice. Now I'll probably want to try Tail Concerto lol... but that game is about the same price as Solatorobo on ebay since it's a bit uncommon.

Oh God, just wait till King of the Shrooms gets in this topic. He'll scream. He loves those games so much. So yeah, I haven't looked at any sort of reviews or gameplay videos or anything or even watched the video linked in the first post, since I'm a lazy douchebag like that, but the little plot synopsis looks cool and the art style is nice, so I'll look into it sometime. Plus Fluxy is pretty excited about it, and he has good taste in games, so there's also that :D
Deploy
I also heard there are DLC missions you can download for the game, which is unusual for a DS game...
Star Fox Runner
I also heard there are DLC missions you can download for the game, which is unusual for a DS game... Yeah, I heard about that too. I dunno how that would work to tell you the truth, but apparently it does.

Now I'll probably want to try Tail Concerto lol... but that game is about the same price as Solatorobo on ebay since it's a bit uncommon. I own Tail Concerto. It's a pretty cool platformer game (with the final level annoying as hell), published by Atlus and Bandai. I recommend you check it out. I'd get Solotorobo and SF64 3D, but I happen to be sitting in Italy right now, so I can't get either T_T
