Hey all! I want to start a Krystal support team so I thought I'd pitch the idea here. Me and a bunch of other people on Twitter have started a group in hopes to unify as many Krystal fans as possible, because I've realized that there are SO many Krystal supporters online but they are so scattered and quiet. I think it's important for us to be all commenting together about support for Krystal and 'liking' each other's comments on Youtube/Facebook (extremely important because it means Nintendo themselves WILL see it) I think on Nintendo's official Youtube and Facebook pages are the best places to do these "unified comments", if they continue to see the support for her (and Star Fox Assault, because it signifies not only Krystal's inclusion but also the actual potential for growth the SF series has) then they may take our support into consideration when making a new SF game! I wanted to see if anyone on here wanted to be involved with us actively commenting/liking Krystal related posts on YouTube. I can update this thread with links of videos we'll be targeting for this "unified support" It will really help with our cause and if you are a Krystal supporter then this is a really efficient way of showing that support/increasing her odds of returning to the series in general! Please let me know if any of you are interested!

When you read that title, you may think to yourself: "Competitive Star Fox: Assault multiplayer? Never heard of it." Well, it is actually a real thing. Star Fox: Assault has aspects that make it great as a competitive game. I'm bringing attention to this now in particular because of the sudden ease of play, as well as because I genuinely want to see this competitive scene thrive and grow. While in the past, if you wanted to play in a tournament, you had to live close to others who wanted to play in such a tourney, now, with the adoption of Dolphin's Netplay feature by the Star Fox: Assault competitive community, you can play with people cities away with minimal lag. I won't get into any technical details here; I just want to make people aware that this is now something anyone with a semi-decent PC can do. This thread can also be used as a means for people on these forums to discuss aspects of the topic. If you decide that you'd like to get involved with the competitive community, or simply want to discuss the topic in more detail, then I highly recommend visiting the Star Fox: Assault community website: http://sfacorner.forumotion.net/ Also, to give a glimpse of what playing the game competitively online is like, here's the first game in the first official Lylat Systems Netplay tournament:

I recently sat down and re-played Assault to prep myself for Zero. Albeit short, Assault still holds up pretty well and I definitely enjoyed myself. The "meat" of Assault is frequently considered to be the multiplayer, so I got a few of my flatmates together and we fucked around for a few hours. I don't have much unlocked, but as I understand unlocks are based primarily (not entirely, there are some that are easily done in the story) off of number of matches run. After doing some reading online, it seems like once you hit the >300-400 match count you unlock some pretty interesting stuff. Among the rumored unlockables are Krystal's Staff, General Scales, Rob, and even Andross. I can't seem to find any proof that these unlocks actually exist, and I don't want to spend an entire day grinding matches for nothing. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places and overlooking sources, but has anyone actually had any luck unlocking the later characters? Or is this just one of those cul-de-sac myths that 'that one kid' in your neighborhood used to spread?

Hey everyone!! I'm curious; what are all of your favorite characters? And what are your favorite stages in the games? I'll start: Besides Fox, my favorite characters are Krystal and Falco. That still isn't very specific, but they're all my babies; it's hard to pick a favorite! (I like Wolf as well *cough*) (Katt is my spirit animal *cough*) My favorite stage in Star Fox 64 is either Zoness or Macbeth. In Adventures, my favorite place (this is so hard) is probably either Cape Claw, Dark Ice Mines, or Krazoa Palace. In Assault, my favorite stage is either Sargasso Hideout, Aparoid City, or Corneria. What are yours?

So, some dedicated people over at KrystalArchive.com managed to rip a GIGANTIC batch of voice and sound clips from Star Fox Assault, all of which can be found here. For those that don't care for the game, this might not mean much...but for fans of Assault like me, this is an audio gold-mine. All the Japanese voices are included, too, but they haven't been sorted yet.

My ravings about Assault were so long and massive that I hit the post length limit! So in the name of keeping my rant together and in one place I'm going to be posting the rant here for quick and easy access. DO NOT POST OR REPLY TO THIS THREAD. DIRECT ALL DISCUSSION FOR THIS RANT TO >THIS TOPIC. THIS THREAD IS FOR READING PURPOSES ONLY. Alright, folks. This is it, my complete and utterly thorough review of Starfox Assault, one that has been stewing in my head for ages, never really having need or purpose to actually commit to writing it... until now. Things changed. See, as some of you may have already known, I've been living in California for the past 3 and a half years, being native to NC. It was a spur of the moment deal, and as a result all of my Nintendo consoles and games have been left behind at home untouched and played by me for years. Well recently, I went searching through the garage of my new home (my girlfriend's family) and uncovered a Wii, and some Gamecube games. Among them was Starfox Assault... so I invested in a memory card to spare me having to play this whole thing in one endless session, and over the past week have completed the game for the first time in nearly half a decade. I never really had a cohesive, collected view of Assault formulated in my mind, just impulsive feelings based off memories of when I used to play it in the mid-2000s. I remember most of the game vividly, but the firsthand knowledge of the game from freshly playing it was gone. No longer the case, now. With Assault's 10 year birthday this year, I figure it's high time I out this one down for good, and finally let my demons out. This is going to be a LONG post, mind you all, and I will be examining the game as it is presented level by level rather than any real categories. This is effectively a written and formulated expression of my raw feelings of the game. So without further delay, let's just crack into this awful game, once and for all. This rant is HUMONGOUS, so it will be uploaded in chunks. I am wondering how many of you had an opinion of the scene where Wolf gave advice to Fox in Assault? "Don't hesitate! When the time comes, just act!" I'm not sure what Wolf said in Japanese; I presume that he said something similar, if not word-for-word, since Fox's flashback to the event in Mission 10 wouldn't make much sense if it were something else. On one hand, I believe it was a defining moment for his revamped character in Assault. Admittedly, some people that I know in real life have called the scene arrogant (I guess because he had his arms crossed), but that's part of his personality, I suppose. On the other hand, I feel that some have placed too much emphasis on this scene, especially since the advice is only a reiteration of what Wolf stated in the earlier in the mission. What's your opinion?

Remember the before drawing I done a few years ago? I believe so. So, I finally done the color version to it. What do you think of it? Plus, I get to use my new logo! Yay! Next, here's another drawing! Ya! My two favorite heroes from my childhood! Fox and Luigi! There's more on its way, but it will be posted in the non-starfox artwork. More arts or want to keep track of my arts on your own? Go here: http://foxybeatz.deviantart.com/

Hello, I am trying to find the "first" image of Wolf from Star Fox Assault. I want to make a wallpaper, and it seems as though that file was from an "official" source. I used to have the file but it was lost when this computer was formatted. Information is... 1,281 × 2,219 pixels, file size: 1.6 MB, MIME type: image/png Archive is located at http://web.archive.o...e:Wolf.png and it refers to the file as "Wolf.png" although later revisions were called "WolfAssault1.png" It should be noted that the file did not have the typical shadow under his tail. Thank you for your time.
