  1. Hello Starfox's fans I'm Esphirian a great StarFox fan since N64 and NGC. I have grow up with lot of games and Starfox, especialy Adventures and Assault were part of them. Now i'm Game Designer Junior and i've started to work one year ago on a personal project for making a tribute to Starfox Adventures with a total new approach. So I'm glad to share you today the trailer of my big fangame project. It's still in development and more video will come this summer like gameplay sequences and reworked lore explanation. I think it can interest some of you so I hope you will like it and give me feedbacks. Let's Rock'n'Roll:D
  2. So apparently Atari is making a new console. It was announced and confirmed at e3 2017. I wish I was lying but I am not.

Old Star Fox game I made

I took a stroll down memory lane today and found an old Star Fox game that I made when I first decided to pursue games development. It's a bit crappy and has a few bugs. It's also really damn difficult, but if you can manage to complete it, it's got a pretty cool wee ending sequence. It's an obstacle course game. It's not really anything special, but I thought I'd post it here just in case any of you wanted to play it. Oh yeah, also, it was made in Scratch.

    Applepen Game

I have an apple, I have a pen... *puts them together* APPLEPEN!!! ... Ok, if you're completely confused let me explain. I'm sure by now you may have heard about this meme, taking an apple and pen and putting them together... That's pretty much it. But hey! I've made a game out of it! Here's an example: I have a bear, I have a bazooka.. *puts them together* BEARBAZOOKA!!! (Next word is: FRYING PAN) ... Stupid I know. But try to have fun, be safe and nice to your fellow users.

    Favorite Star Fox title?

Pretty explanatory, which title would you say is your absolute favorite from the Star Fox franchise?

    Bar Jokes

I love bar jokes. Got some that you heard or have some of your own? They can be long or short, it don't matter. Please share them and have fun doing it - I'll start... Man walks into a bar. Bartender says, "what will you have?" Man says, "anything, I need to get drunk cos my wife is a cheetah." Bartender says, "my wife too, she's always a lion."
  8. Give a brief poem that rhymes and that is no more than four lines. Write about anything, thoughts, feels, current events but try to make it funny. Example: Roses are red, Panzies are pink, I drank too much last night, And puked in your sink.

    One-Up Contest

We've all participated in one of these at least once, even if it was subconsciously. So, why not start one here? State your farfetched fake accomplishments here. Whoever posts must try to one-up the poster above by saying "Oh, yeah, well I (Insert fake accomplishment)" Let the fight begin! I will start. Frank Sinatra once came over to my house for voice warm-ups.

    How to play pen-and-paper rpg's?

Recently, I came across the James Bond pen-and-paper rpg. Expecting it to be simply one game, I started searching and found that it is a bit complex. There are games for most of the movies from the 60's-80's along with other documents like the "Q Manuel", which, from what I gather, is the guide to equipping items in the field, a book called "For Your Information" which I believe is the gamemaster's guide, and many other books devoted to running the game rather than playing it. All this introduction to say... I don't know how to play pen-and-paper games in the slightest. My coach plays D&D but in the short time I have with him, I can't ask him to spill the secrets of how to play pen-and-paper role-playing to me. Does anyone know how to execute a pen-and-paper game?

I have recently gotten into a MMORPG called Wizard101! In the game you are a wizard attending a magical school (Similar to Hogwarts from Harry Potter), and you can learn spells to fight off enemy creatures and complete quests. The first main villain of the game is Malistare (Who is most likely based off of Voldemort). After you beat him, there will be another villain, her name is I suck at game descriptions, so go Google up Wizard101 and click the first result if you want to learn more about the game. P.S: It says the game is for kids, but there are adults who enjoy it as well.

    The Poem game

Welcome to the poem game. The game where you have to come up with a line that rhymes with the previous user's line, creating beautiful (or not so beautiful) poetry! DA Rules: . Keep it PG and avoid being incredibly offensive (so don't be a meanie. Got it? Good? Moving on) . Avoid obvious trip-up words that can't rhyme with anything (I will see NO "orange" on this forum, thank you very much). The goal is to continue the dialogue, not stop it in its tracks . Anything else important I'll add to the list. But I don't like long and unnecessary regulations as much as you do, so lets just make sure this works So I'll start: "Now this is a story all about how my life got flip-turned upside-down"

    Star Wolf spin off game

Well, assuming there will be no delays, the elusive Star Fox for Wii U should be arriving in the not-so-distant future! But I was thinking, if this game sells well, that may open doors for new Star Fox games within a few years, maybe in the first year or so of the NX. On that topic, would you like to see a Star Wolf spin off game? I certainly would! I think if it did happen, it would be an opportunity to expand on the lore of the Star Wolf team. It could be a darker take on the Star Fox universe, focusing on the grittier side of the Lylat system, maybe developing the characters a bit more. Something that interests me is the fact that we don't even know the Star Wolf team logo(if they have one) like we have the red winged Fox on the Great Fox and the Arwings for Fox's team. The closest we have is Wolf's belt buckle in Brawl, and that can't be taken very seriously, never mind canon. Anyway I digress. Would you like to see Star Wolf spin off? If so, what would you like to see from it?

Starfox Assault MEGA RANT (READ ONLY)

My ravings about Assault were so long and massive that I hit the post length limit! So in the name of keeping my rant together and in one place I'm going to be posting the rant here for quick and easy access. DO NOT POST OR REPLY TO THIS THREAD. DIRECT ALL DISCUSSION FOR THIS RANT TO >THIS TOPIC. THIS THREAD IS FOR READING PURPOSES ONLY. Alright, folks. This is it, my complete and utterly thorough review of Starfox Assault, one that has been stewing in my head for ages, never really having need or purpose to actually commit to writing it... until now. Things changed. See, as some of you may have already known, I've been living in California for the past 3 and a half years, being native to NC. It was a spur of the moment deal, and as a result all of my Nintendo consoles and games have been left behind at home untouched and played by me for years. Well recently, I went searching through the garage of my new home (my girlfriend's family) and uncovered a Wii, and some Gamecube games. Among them was Starfox Assault... so I invested in a memory card to spare me having to play this whole thing in one endless session, and over the past week have completed the game for the first time in nearly half a decade. I never really had a cohesive, collected view of Assault formulated in my mind, just impulsive feelings based off memories of when I used to play it in the mid-2000s. I remember most of the game vividly, but the firsthand knowledge of the game from freshly playing it was gone. No longer the case, now. With Assault's 10 year birthday this year, I figure it's high time I out this one down for good, and finally let my demons out. This is going to be a LONG post, mind you all, and I will be examining the game as it is presented level by level rather than any real categories. This is effectively a written and formulated expression of my raw feelings of the game. So without further delay, let's just crack into this awful game, once and for all. This rant is HUMONGOUS, so it will be uploaded in chunks. 16. E3 coming up. All that talk. But what's more important is that Bethesda is coming to E3 and with that we might actually get the Fallout 4 and maybe a new Elder Scrolls gmae. Prep dat booty cuz it goin to rock dis yer.

I think some of you might have seen the little change in my signature by now, but yeah, I've been playing this a lot lately. AirMech is an online RTS game developed by Carbon Games, that also involves mech-combat in a similar gameplay to games such as League of Legends and Spiral Knights. You take control of the mechs and command units around maps on matches. Current game modes are PvP, PvAI, Survival (tower defense-ish vs. AI), and CTF (though not many people play it). As of now, there are nine different mech types for the players to choose, that vary from support, tanking, speed and adaptability among other kinds of gameplay. The system requirements are far from high since it can run well even on a Core 2 Duo with integrated graphics, and fills as little as 300 MB of disk space on Steam version. You can register through either the Carbon Games site for AirMech, or through player referrals. Referrals give small amounts in-game credits to the player who sent you to the game, and futurely it'll also give bonuses to the referred players. Have a referral link? Send it to me and I'll keep it in the list as follows. -OrbiKitsune -Fenrir-X So, anyone else here plays it? I've had some fun with the game, and it's not quite hard to learn to play. Thought would call out to see if this game gives me playable connections to other SFO-ers.
  18. So I'm working on a little shoot em up and I've put about almost a week now into it and I figured I'd share it with the rest of the StarFox community, and no, it is not anywhere near done, but here's the link to the site where you can download it. After seeing similar works on here, I figure your opinions might not differ much from the rest, but I don't plan on stopping so this will be a complete game at some point. Any advice, criticism would be much appreciated. I'm also looking for other creative people willing to help with this project and or projects in the future. +next week I'll be adding a new test version with moar powerups, and at least 2 more waves, including the starwolf battle..
  19. Ever wanted to randomly disprove someone in an argument? Well now there is a game for that. Introducing the Your Argument is Invalid Game (I'm sure that I'm not the first would thought of this). Simply disprove the user's above statement with a random fact (true or not true) or a random picture that has to do with your statement so the next user can do so to you. Remember, be civil and do not anger the mod gods who have given so much and ask little in return. I'll start with a random rant to get things going. V - The price of hammers at the Home Depot is damn high. They must lower the prices if the product is to meet with demand fairly.
  20. Hello SFO community, how are we this fine day? I'm interested as to what game you last received, and what game you think you will get next. It can be for any console, from Wii to PS3 or even NES. If you like, you can also say how you got the game (bought it yourself, present from someone, etc). My most recent game was Star Fox 64 3D and my next game will probably be Skyward Sword. Both of them were/will be bought by my parents as I'm nearly 17 and don't have a job.

    Clever Insult Game

Now, I know what you're thinking, "Snes1993, why?" Well, to be honest a wide vocabulary can either be useful or damaging. But in this case I'm using this to help expound and express each other verbally without the intent of harming one another and at the same time, having fun. The object is simple, no conventional swearing with established words, think creatively. Example: You sir are a banana eating, sofa sitting, fancy panted man. Or...something more like, "Big beaked, wobbling Dodo!"

    StarFox Game Concept Art

Hello again! As some of you may know already, I am working on a StarFox fan game. I mean to go all the way with this. It's more gritty, realistic, and has that true cinematic feel to it. I'm gonna post my concept art here. If anybody wants to contribute, please feel free to. n.n Anyways, I hope you like my art. EDIT:>> Thank you DZ, I have attached the image.

    Favourite Video Game EVAH?

So then, what's your favourite video game EVAH? I can understand it's hard to choose a favourite so you can have up to 5 as your favourite. My favourites would be... ummm (not necessarily in the order that I am listing them) Soul Blade / Soul Edge (PSX) Epic and always will be Star Fox 64 (N64) The best spaceship game there is, with wingmen! You're not alone for once! Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii) Words cannot describe the awesomeness that is this Spyro 2: Gateway to Glimmer / Sypro 2: Ripto's Rage (PSX) I preferred this over Spyro 3! I always loved shooting Ripto on the chair Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (PS3 / Xbox360) Free-Run! BLEND! ARROW STORM (target (and more) dead) I like Quake III: Arena and James Bond 007: Everything Or Nothing. I like Tekken 6 and SoulCalibur IV. I like Starfox: Assault and Mario vs Donkey Kong 2: March of the minis but they just aren't quite good enough to make it onto my list. So then. What's yours?

Do graphics make a game good?

Do you think that the look of the game makes it good, or is the overbearing power the game play and story line? Personally I couldn't care less about the graphics, as long as the game is fun to play, that's what makes me play it. That's what I think anyway, but I know some people who disagree.

    [Game] Word association

The aim of this game is for someone to say a word and the other says a word associated with that, then someone else says a word associated with that etc. Example: Person 1: House Person 2: Window Person 3: Glass etc Remember, you can only say one word BUT (here's the tricky bit) you can't say words that have been said before. So example of losing Person 1: Cats Person 2: Dogs Person 3: Cats (loser, game continues from Dogs) So I'll start! Bananas! Good luck!
